Sir Des Champs made at least two serious jumping errors which probably cost him the race but I was very impressed with how much he found under pressure.

Happy to unsquiggle Tidal Bay now and well done to his backers.

yes he did but the jumping errors are become more and more crucial

flemenstar got a very gentle ride once headed all may not be lost there on better ground

What a great race that was, even before the drama at the end.

Be interested to know what people think of the various scenarios that now arise as to Chelternham fancies, including, of course, the Long Run situation.

Flemenstar didn't last home once he'd jumped the last

Not a clue what the race means for Cheltenham, everyone finished in an heap

Flemenstar has shortened up for RyanAir (2m 5F) and drifted in the GC (3m 2F) which is fairly understandable.  Tremendous cruising speed, had a quality field rowing for home there, just a couple of furlongs too far.

the ground probably will not be soft enough but it would be wonderful to see tidal at least get in the frame come march

doobs well done i suspect long run must be shorter now

two rides by walsh today that were not just good they were unbelivable

Long Run now 8.4 on Betfair.  Looks ludicrous to me.  Suppose there is a first time for everything and they are all exceptional?

I've backed TB ew tdy TK. I think the track is perfect for his style of running as he gets a long time up this str8 to come from behind. Nowt too strong tho. Would love to see Pandorama run ok too after 651 days off the track.

Edit, i'm just copying Doobs now I've read all the thread.  thumbs up

I believe others tipped TB earlier, including Big Adz, & this was interesting with hindsight......

And some!

He seemed to lack room once or twice in the late stages, maybe keeping him covered up helped?

Respect to Mr Ruby, too.

Great race to watch.

I think it's worth remembering for any ante-post bets that Flemenstar must have soft ground and is reputed to be a very poor traveller.

This looks entirely logical. Turning for home Flemenstar had them all in desperate trouble

I would have thought Long Run has to be shorter, given the others all look to have a hole or two....(Tiday Bay presumably being less of chance on quicker ground)

Hi tikay

I think a good bet for you is bradford city to win league two this year  each way bet

The odds are 12/1 ATM  making 3/1 to finish in the top 3, giving us some profit if we finish 2nd. 3rd

Ok I am on my iPad on a train ATM so can't go into to much info but if you want to asked question feel free

We are 5th at the moment with 39 points  gillingham are top with 45 points, if we win out game in hand vs Wycombe we can go to 3rd place, the comfrence is high at the moment with the players playing really well and giving a never say die attitude

We have played all the teams in the top 4 away for home  only Rotherham gave us trouble 5-0 Sad.  We have beat port vale away drew with Southend

We have Rochdale at home tomorrow, we drew 0-0 at there place then we have 4 games that we should win in the middle we have a leg legged semi final vs villa

It's not secret that out budget this season was £1 million to get us out of league two we over spent that by about 600k this was made back from the arsenal game, we are set to make £1million from the semi finals and the chairman has said there is money in Jan so the manager can buy and bring in who he wants to get us out of league two, also it's been made clear that wells and Hanson are staying.

No team are running away with it this year gillingham lost to Barnet 1-0 at home on Boxing Day I really think the next 5 games are make or break

The connections of Bob's Worth must be very happy today. Tidal Bay gave it 6 pounds at Newbury and was beaten 3 1/4 lengths and First Lieutenant was another 5 lengths back in third so thats a very big boost to that form even allowing for Flemenstar not staying

Flem travelled SO well, I dont believe the ground was a factor, I really cant see hime staying 3 miles 2 at the Nam.

Whilst I have cash on the cliff for Chelts the bet has to be SDC, surely being primed for the day.

I truly hope Ruby rides TB cos Silviniaco Conti looks a light horse to me and got some growing to do, and will have other years in him.

Ride the wave in the Bay Ruby!
