What do we prefer for the San Fran bet? Atlanta away or Seattle at home?
Atlanta away definitely!
Clemons potentially a big injury but Seattle look strong. I think Seattle +3 is going to be very tasty next week.
Allgone.
+1.5 now.
Think it will be pick em by game time.

Looks credible to me.
Just got on Megson at 14/1 with BV. I think he's the standout on the shortlist now.
How awful.
You won't be bumping into me at Oakwell any time soon if you employ Megson.

On the radio this morning, Sean Keaveney explained that, if a meteorite landed on Earth today and wiped out civilisation, at least the final sentence imaginable would have been uttered, as he read it in the paper this morning:
Pamela Anderson, 45, was voted off Dancing on Ice yesterday, after losing a skate-off with Keith Chegwin
I mean where do you go from there?

Daily Report as @ 0915, Monday January 7th
We made £40 net profit yesterday, & are ticking along nicely.
Two Darts bets failed, (£40) though we missed a dart to win the thing.
This was offset by another hector Rugby Union winner (£20), & an NFL win (£80) tipped up by Neil C, giving us 3 from 3 NFL Playoff wins in 24 hours.
Kuku effectively tipped the same NFL bet as Neil C, but Kuku suggested a different route, going Under 24.5 for Seattle, who scored......24. Top Tipping Twins.
Liverpool were handed an easy third round win in the FA Cup, we are on at 11/1, & they are generally still around that price.
The 49-ers remain about 6/1, we are on at slightly better.
Our DoI bet is not looking good, we are on Samia Ghadie @ 15/2, now freely available at 16/1 & above.
We end today's Report on a low note, as we have been railroaded into investing £100 on a CBB bet. I doubt we can get any lower than that. Chompy is hereby nominated for induction, though.

Apologies if I'm hogging Fred with this topic, but I'm finding the BFC manager market as fascinating from a bookmaking point of view as I am as a fan, as it's one of the rare occasions when there's no consensus with the individual books from each firm as a result of the limited news and presumably low volumes.
This morning is a classic example. The popular favourite, based on the latest fan polls without SOD, is Terry Butcher, although there's no evidence that he's interested in the role or he's under consideration (this is basically a reaction to how well he's done in Scotland on a small budget). BV now have him as 6/4 favourite, which is presumably a reaction to the poll and a bit of overnight money.
The other book, SkyBet, doesn't even have him on the list of candidates at the moment, and still show Neil Redfearn as 4/6 favourite.
It's a pity there's no Betfair market available on this.
If I was choosing a candidate from the remaining available options, Butcher would be top of the list right now, so I should be encouraged by this development. I'm just struggling to see it materialising in reality though.

I'm afraid Fred can no longer bet with Stan James, as they closed my account yesterday.
Fred was actually a net loser with them, to the tune of £285, but I'd done OK with them on my own off-thread betting. I only had one "big" win, Graham McDowell in the World Golf Challenge (+£840), all the rest of my bets were for £50 @ 9/10 on obscure Over-Under markets, but the majority of them were winners, as they often get their lines badly wrong.
So that is that, no more Stan James for us, though it should not affect Fred too much. However, if you see a "Best Price" at Stan James, you should still post the bet, as others can still get on, & I'll just take the next best price with another bookie if it happens.
Fred also has these issues.....
Bet365 - Severely Restricted.
Blue Square - Frequently Restricted, but can usually get on for small amounts.
Sky Bet - not appropriate for me to bet with them.

How can you call yourself a bookmaker and then ban people from betting with you because you keep cocking up?
You're either doing a good job and should therefore encourage winners to come back and gamble so they give it all back (à la a casino) or you are doing a rubbish job and should therefore try harder.
What other walk of life would that happen in?

Morning Mr T.
Pujara has been added to the India 1 day squad at the expense of Sehwag. I think this means he will open the batting, which has been frail throughout the Pakistan series. If so his orders will be to stay there for 20 overs before doing anything rash and I like him to top the series batting for India. Not all bookies have put prices up but Betfred are best priced at the moment.
Suggest £20 Pujara top India batsman in the series 9-2 @ Betfred.
RIP Stan James.

Morning horsey,
Remind me what is good about it?!
it shows you are punting on things they dont want you to
it shows you are probably nearly always beating the price
it shows you are probably a winner or in there view not a big loser

I'm a little sad, but only for selfish reasons, & I'm certainly not going to make a hoohah about it. It is my (painful) experience that when folks get banned by a Poker Site, Poker Forum or Bookie, they get a bit uppity, but that makes no sense at all to me, as personally why would I want to do business, or interact with, any organisation or Company that does not welcome my involvement or custom?
Bookmakers are accountant driven, quite right too, as they are using Shareholders money, so I can perfectly understand the logic. Dislking it does not make it wrong.
I was told a tale by a mate last night of a chap who can get £30,000 on with Ladbrokes for ANY bet he wants. How so? He is a Premier League footballer, & probably drops a 6 figure sum per annum. If Laddies were your company, if you managed them, or you were a Shareholder of theirs, you'd agree with them managing & culling their Client-Base the most optimal way, surely?
