Regretfully, Mr Leeds, & DTD Table Companion, I have no choice but to get on, as you make a compelling case.
I must say, perusing that list, I thought Miss Jackson would absolutely walk it, I had the good fortune to meet her again recently, & spend a little time with her, & she is nothing short of stunning. In a swimsuit, jeez, I dare not even begin to imagine how good she looks.
Anyway, we are on, but we went with Betfred, who offer 10/1 at present, as do Ladbrokes.
Joey Essex to win "splash", £10 @ 10/1, Betfred.
Can't believe Miss Jackson is not favourite, I really cant. Ooohhhhhh.

We should back Seattle +3 @ Atlanta with VC or PP. This looks a pick em to me and with a key number on our side, it looks a good bet @ 4/5.
Recommened £40 Seattle +3 @ Atlanta 4/5 with Victor Chandler or Paddy Power.
It´s hard to know exactly what to make of the games last night as RG3´s knee was a huge factor, they really should have replcaed him sooner i think. Seattle are just so composed on offense at the moment, it´s hard not to be impressed. They will put Ryan under loads of pressure too and Atlanta have had trouble running it against much weaker teams than this, we have plenty in our favour.
I have warmed to Seattle since my investment on them for the Conference, one of the features of their spell of great from has been Wilson, the rookie QB getting out in front of Lynch and making some great blocks down the field. Great to watch, I´ve got a lot of time for the Wilson and Lynch even if most of the rest of the team aren´t the most endearing bunch.
Thanks Kuku.
There seems to be a huge disparancy in the line offered on this, & +3 is at the extreme end.
Are Seattle the Team you mentioned at length to do well a while back?
Anyway, we have £40 @ 4/5, BetVictor, Seattle Seahawks (+3) over Atlanta Falcons.
ON
Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons

Possible Return: 72.00
Yeah it was the Seahawks that I wrote pages and pages about back when I had flu. We were so close to getting the perfect scenario, only a New England win at home vs San Fran away from the 2 seed. They could still do this though, I wouldn´t fancy GB at Lambeau but I think they can win in San Francisco, not a popular view on Fred, the Justin Smith injury is a huge factor.
You agued a difficult case well, & I was SO close to getting on, but it was a very contrarian, not to say, unpopular view as I recall, & my courage was wanting.
I really hope it goes well for you, & if the 49-ers don't win it, the Seahawks do. Especially as Seattle has a Boeing factory. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Boeing factory in Seattle is the world's largest covered manufacturing building. Some factory that. They don't make many products, but they don't half cost a lot.

How can you call yourself a bookmaker and then ban people from betting with you because you keep cocking up?
You're either doing a good job and should therefore encourage winners to come back and gamble so they give it all back (à la a casino) or you are doing a rubbish job and should therefore try harder.
What other walk of life would that happen in?
I'm a little sad, but only for selfish reasons, & I'm certainly not going to make a hoohah about it. It is my (painful) experience that when folks get banned by a Poker Site, Poker Forum or Bookie, they get a bit uppity, but that makes no sense at all to me, as personally why would I want to do business, or interact with, any organisation or Company that does not welcome my involvement or custom?
Bookmakers are accountant driven, quite right too, as they are using Shareholders money, so I can perfectly understand the logic. Dislking it does not make it wrong.
I was told a tale by a mate last night of a chap who can get £30,000 on with Ladbrokes for ANY bet he wants. How so? He is a Premier League footballer, & probably drops a 6 figure sum per annum. If Laddies were your company, if you managed them, or you were a Shareholder of theirs, you'd agree with them managing & culling their Client-Base the most optimal way, surely?
I've never understood how bookies should be allowed to get away with this, and I certainly wouldn't try to defend them for doing it. Similarly for casinos who treat being talented at blackjack as cheating.
If I was a shareholder of a big retail chain, I wouldn't want to ban those customers who only shop with them in the January sales or who are particularly adept at spotting a bargain, and there'd be an outcry if anyone tried to do this. This is no different to what the bookies do with shrewd punters, so why condone it?
At the end of the day, they're the one's who set the prices for people to bet.
I'm afraid we will never agree on that.
Customers have rhe right to choose with whom they do business, & I do not see why any Business should not have the same right. Life is a two way street. Why should it be a one-way street, where the Client can do what he wants, & the Business can't? The policy may be mistaken, but that is not the point. It is their money, & business, & they should be able to do as they wish.
The only part I agree with is they if they offer ool prices, well they should adjust the prices, or they will get beaten up by the punters. Better to correct the prices than ban those who take advantage, but that is their absolute right, & I'm pretty sure their major shareholders would approve. It is, after all, their money that they invest in the Company, & they have a right to expect the Business to use it wisely.
We could debate this forever, & I'm happy so to do, but probably best to start a seperate thread if you wish to, as it may go from debate to argument, & get a bit "hot", & I'm keen to keep the pleasing & relaxing ambience here!

Le Knave made a good point about the drug bans for key defensive backs as well, which I missed in the initial analysis. I think it was a reasonable decision not to get on. Things have gone rather well since though :-).
Not sure if I was slightly delirious with the flu but at the time it was the most excited I´d been about a bet since I was a teenager, I´m glad they´re delivering so far (long way to go, of course.)

OH DEAR.
My resolve lasted all of a few hours, but as Tikay says this case is far more compelling than Chompy, who just seems to have a soft spot for Rylan
Having seen him on Keith Lemon, he is also the stupid person I have ever heard, which will appeal to the masses!

Ah yes, now I remember.
Nice when you get it wrong & it turns out right though.
For some reason (don't ask) it reminds me of the dumb things we hear at the poker table.
I've lost count of how many times when someone has called my shove & I turn over my two aces, & they say "
Oh, I never put you on a hand that strong
".....You don't say?
I was playing Lowball or Razz or somesuch in a HORSE Tourney in Vegas last year, & I lost the lot with the 2nd nuts when Matey Boy turned over the absolutes.
He then said "
ha, did you not realise I had a better hand
?"
Umm, now you mention it mate, no, I did not, I would have folded if I had......
My Dad would have called that a SOTBO.

In better Bookie news, I just wanted to confirm that bookiebasher, aka Lucky Jim, aka Jamie Moult, happily gave me an envelope with £150 in it on Friday, to settle the Darts Bet.
Well when I say happily, he spat on it, & threw it on the floor, but I ain't proud.
Thanks Jim.
