Australian National Championship Mens Road Race. Sunday 13th January.

Recent form from a week ago at the Jayco showed Simon Clarke to be in better shape than Gerrans. We missed some glorious value, his initial price was 25/1. Some Aussie shrewdies have shredded that & is now 8/1. Still worth a small interest, I think. £5.00 on Clarke.

Manchester United v Liverpool

One of the games of every season - outright odds seem unattractive but given recent history of these games, and United's performances this season, is there a case for backing the 'win from behind'?

United 15/2 at Boylesports and Ladbrokes

More banzai is Liverpool with 16/1 at Boylesports

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/man-utd-v-liverpool/to-win-from-behind

I don't know much about the bookings market, but 5/2 on a booking for Gerrard seems worth considering?

Thank you Curtis.

To be honest, I'm not sure how anyone would work the maths of that bet out, as to whether the price reps value. If someone can, & it is, we'll get on.

Personally, I agree that the Gerrard suggestion is intriguing, but again, we need the maths heads & Doobsy's Sofa to cast their beady eye on it.

Curtis?

These prices are goal time dependent too because if Liverpool take the lead in the first 5 minutes then Man Utd are a shorter price to come back from there to win than if Liverpool take the lead in say the 70th minute. We have a starting point in that Liverpool are 8/5 top price with the fixed odds firms to score the first goal. I guess if we priced up what the in running prices would be if Liverpool take the lead on every 5 minute mark in the game we would get an average price for Man Utd to come from behind and win.

So the prices would  be a multiple of Liverpool to score first X what price Man Utd will be to win the game depending on the minute Liverpool score in. So there isn't a general price as such but if the firms are 15/2 it happens then my money would be on that being under the average price of all the combo's.

Red, If Liverpool were leading by a goal at ht and there were still 22 on the pitch( I'm excluding scenarios where one team has had say 5 yellow cards) what price are Man Utd to win from there on your tool?

I thought about 15/4 + ish but I am a bit rusty these days.

Seems like India's rigid selection policy is going to hinder your Pujara bet (but help England!) - http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/current/story/600317.html

Pretty ridiculous given the amount of runs he's got recently

I make it 16.5% for them to win the second half by two goals or more.  I make a slight adjustment to the goals and supremacy expectation based on the fact they are a goal behind which might not be enough for Man United who seem more likely than the average to do it.

Is it the same % chance for Utd to win by 2 or more if Liverpool lead by 1 or 2 goals?

No - they are shorter to win by two or more goals if they are two down although exactly how much shorter I don't know and tend to play it by ear.
