It would be nice if some people got Stan James's money as revenge for closing TK's account.

Shrewdies smashed Stan James for a huge amount last year, they stuck Reading up at 150/1 for the Championship a short while before xmas and quite a few got on!

having a quick first look at that website

i do not have a problem with the affiliate thing a lot of "free" websites do the same

however looking at this weeks preview he mentions seven players in a positive way, there is no staking plan and there appears to be no record of profit or loss on the tips made so far unless i have missed it.

No I don't think u missed it. I can't see your point, perhaps I missed it?

We need some good vibes tonight.

We have.....

£40 @ 6/4, Tories to win Eastleigh. Current price 6/1. It is rare indeed for Fred to get so much the wrong side of the Market.

£10 @ 12/1 UKIP to win Eastleigh. Current price 5/1. At least we got right side of that one.

LibDems are 2/9.

I rather thought we had Pressed on the Tories, but unless my eyes deceive me, I cannot see another bet. Glory be.

More optimistically, we have two Darts bets tonight, & it'd be neat to get them both home & finish February off with a flourish, or at least pay the Eastleigh bill. If only it were that easy.....

We have £48 @ 5/6, Wade 3DA OVER 94.4.

And £50 @ Evens, Taylor 3DA OVER 99.5.

Both bets are on the same match.

So, nearly £150 at stake tonight on those 4, we need 2 of the 4 bets to get home if we are to be profitable on the quartet. On top of that, we have the Batley Halifax ding-dong, with £25 at risk.

We shall end February with a bang, one way or the other.

Unfortunately, my memory did not deceive me, but my eyes did.

We HAD pressed, a further £40 @ 7/2. Probably not so much "pressed" as "good money after bad" with hindsight.

Daily Summary, @ 0830, Friday March 1st

We made a profit of exactly £30 yesterday.

6 bets completed, 3 won, 3 lost.

The three losers were all on the Eastleigh By-election. £40 @ 6/4, £40 @ 7/2, & £10 @ 12/1, for a By-Election loss of £90.

We have rarely been so much on the wrong side of the market in any bet, ever. Whilst our UKIP bet was value (we had 12/1, they were around 5/1 when the polls opened), our bets on the Tories were only ahead of the Market on the day after we placed them, thereafter we were always in trouble. Most peculiar, but faced with the same parameters, I think we'd make the same bets again.

Fortunately......

Some inspired Darts & RL betting gave us a hat trick of wins, & we got out of it with a bit to spare.

Unusually, the two Darts bets were on the 3DA's of the opponents, Wade & Taylor, in the same match. Pretty unusual that, for us, but both Guy (+£40) & Bazza (+£50) got it spot on.

hector followed up with one of his obscure & oddbod Rugby League bets, this one in no less than The Co-Operative Championship.

It eased home, after a late mini-scare, rather cosily really. Remarkably, although Fred only had 6/5, some regulars got on at a quite remarkable 7/4. Nice one hector, an easy £30, & time for cake, coffee & perhaps a small celebratory jig.

A most satisfactory end to a very pleasing month.

The usual Month End & overall Summary will be presented by Mere late today.

The new March Spready has been set up & is now visible to all. As of right now, it is effectively a one page summary of ALL our forward bets & liabilities.

For an easy summary of what we have coming up, you can view it now, here....

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=22

There are some remarkably good bets there, & some which, with hindsight, look laughably bad, sort of what were we thinking?

Nothing makes a fool of us like punting, but we are doing OK overall.

Now, another month starts, & off we go again.

For those interested the Gonzo Bulldogs are now best priced 10/1 for the NCAA Championship. I believe Fred got on at 33/1

Afternoon Mr T.

I owe you an apology. I was going to put a rugby league bet up last Sunday but as our try scorer bet got home in such a lucky fashion I wimped out and stuck on my weekends profit. Of course Salford then obliged at 6-1 which made me richer, but I have felt bad for you since then.

A big thank you to todays snooker tipsters who have enabled me to have a free bet on the next pope.

Tomorrow sees the start of the PGA Golf Honda classic. With the 2 favourites in bad form I have been looking lower down for some value. I think we should support Dr Noh again for a small bet. He has made 4 cuts in a row after missing it in his season opener and showed signs of coming to the boil when we backed him 2 weeks ago, finishing 16th. We must remember he is only 21 years old and has little experience of these courses but he did make the cut in this tournament last year. He is a bigger price than 3G who in his blog is admitting to not having a clue on the greens.

Paddy Power are paying out on 6 places so I suggest £2.50 e/w Dr Noh @ 80-1.

Hopefully some others will provide a few darts as well.

Afternoon hector.

I did wonder on Sunday, as you had said you had two specific selections lined up for the weekend. 6/1, oooh. Well done. Glad you got on the snooker bet, too. You were either late to bed, or up early.

As to the Honda Classic, yes, I'm rather hoping we will have a little portfolio of bets for it. With such large fields, & variance, it makes sense to spread the money a little bit.

Anyway.....

We have £2.50 EW, 80/1, Paddy Power, on Dr Noh, Honda Golf Classic, qrtr odds  Top 6. Good fun for a fiver.

It would appear that the gremlins crept into my computer again, clearly not my fault, obv.

The bet was recommended & accepted as £2.50 EW, but the betslip shows clearly that is has been executed as £2.50 WIN ONLY.

Worryingly (but pleasingly), Dr Noh ended Day One just two shots off the lead, & so is now down to 25/1. We are on at 80/1.

I do have a larger bet on Dr Noh myself, so I can afford to credit Fred for any loss if need be, but I'm really not sure how to best sort this out. The numbers we report must be accurate & honest, but the bet WAS accepted as EW, & reported as EW by myself at the time.

Volume 17 of the Misclick Depatment Archive has now been opened. Fortunately, by adroit skill, it is reasonably well funded, thanks to Mr KOOOOOOOCH.

Anyone got a view on how we sort this out, as to what numbers & bet we should count as "official"? If Noh gets placed, it'd be pretty unfair on hector not to credit him with the profit. Set against that, he might benefit by £2.50.

Anyway, we need to reach a decision TODAY, before the event progresses further.

Oooh, Britney.........

Probably you & I are the only two here that remember those halcyon days. Oh, & Methuselah Minor, who was more of a Doris Day fan.

I do hope you & Methuselah don't have a falling out this weekend. Someone is gonna get hurt, for sure.

If you have a bet on dr Noh off thread and the intention was to bet the e/ w then I think the right thing is to credit it to Hector.

Cheers
