Well i got a bit annoyed tbh... And it took me ages to find that post to bump it so thought i would mention it. Glad the thread got on him in the end.

I haven't been following the thread as didn't think my view counted and haven't got much time these days and it moves so fast.

All the value in mansfield is gone now, we have come from nowhere and are on an amazing run of 9 wins in a row, 12 wins in 13 and should definitely win the title. We play wrexham on Tuesday night who are second. They have injuries and we don't have any. We have the biggest squad in the league, money to bring in emergency loans and pay wages and our manager has a ~ 65% win rate in the second half of the season looking back over his last five seasons with mansfield and Eastwood town.

If we beat or draw with wrexham on tuesday i reckon its locked up as we also have them at home last game of the season.  The only other team that can get near us with games in hand is newport but they have to play something like 5 games in 12 days. They have asked for a league extension but its been declined. The other teams around us are faltering due to fatigue and fixture backlog.

Not sure on our price at the moment but reckon we will win the conference. Get on!

Sensed you were annoyed, please don't be. Sure tikay would say every view is welcomed, and often things are rejected when they shouldn't be and equally accepted when it is daft...!

Sorry your original recommend was not picked up, but we cannot back every selection - we would have gone busto within months if we did that, fact. So we have to chew the cud, & make decisions. Sometimes we get it wrong. It is NOT personal, just opinions. Nobody has the right to have their selections backed by Fred, but once you stick it on here, anyone can have a punt if they wish. I take advice from people who earn their living punting, as I'm an amateur, just as you are.

Mansfield to win, I assume, Blue Square Premier? I don't doubt your word, but the key component in ANY bet is the price. Without knowing the price, we can NEVER bet.

So.....on what basis is the current price "value", as opposed to "correct"? If the price is correct, we have no interest. If the price is too high, we will get on.

On the basis that 13/8 is the best price we can get now and i strongly fancy MTFC to avoid defeat on Tuesday night against 2nd place wrexham we can expect to severely shorten on weds morning / overnight tuesday should we win or draw. Also, newport in fourth play kidderminster in 3rd the same night meaning one of the chasers if not both could also be further behind. On whether the price is right or not,..it feels close for sure but it is likely to shorten further.


Happy to hear more views but we are easily and by miles the form side out of the 5 likely winners.
