No one is going to say "we are over-exposed" pre-event. Fact of the matter is that by the time Sunday came along, and the opportunities The Camel is talking about were presented, the  person doing the betting baulked at doing so, came across in every post.

(tikay can correct me if I am wrong)

He probably baulked if not many people stated how good a bet they were. If they were that good then surely everyone could have gave him a nudge

Possibly

Fact of the matter is that three of the top names on here, auto backed gave Jason Day, two gave it after round 3, and the bet (on what was suggested to be unmissable each way terms) didn't go on

can't get much more nudged than that

Meanwhile a couple of more marginal bets are put up, argued against, and then still go on. Whether they win or not is irrelevant to my argument. They get on, and the good each way stuff didn't

This is not meant to be critical of tikay who quite frequently is up against it on time on what can be a very fast moving thread, just trying to contribute to get things smoother for the next biggie

agree with dubai

it is sometimes easy to not analyse winning bets and assume the losing bets were bad bets

some of my winning bets on here were not good bets were as a few i have put i think were excellent lost

Whilst the idea of the thread is to improve as a punter i do fear it is veering towards a little bit to serious. After all this is not a paid service that advises bets

Ah got it now, was originally up on Saturday and then again on Sunday.

We could have a new thread.

"Filthy Arbing for Tikay"

And stick all the priority offers on there.

Just get tikay to double treble the tank.  No more over-exposure (for a while)

Simples.

This could be the point where Fred takes on investors, before Tikay disappears into the Sun after falling asleep when over exposed. (Surely a tap in waiting to happen)

Shush, I was working up to that.

My angle was a misclick, I was pretty sure I'd get that one through.

This must be the greatest thread ever, so many people, all trying to help, as well as EsoKral.

I was Offline for an hour & it's gone crazy, some of which I need to respond to.

Most of the stuff is broadly correct, but not all, there were a few which I'll address shortly, before Nurse arrives for my bed bath.

Jason Day, on Sunday.

I really can't recall now who suggested Jason.

The real reason I never got on, in truth, was that I had come to have a strong belief about his mental strength at the sharp end. He is doing all this weird stuff with EEG's & "right brain" bollox, & it just made me take a position.

I was right. Just......

Well yes, agreed.

I should also add that I had a house guest for the weekend, & I needed to spend a little time up the allotment.

Re Saturday Masters bets

I can't see how anyone could put on a bet* when the Tiger DQd stramash was going on.

*Other than the redarmi convoluted arb laying Tiger on betfair and backing him on VC not to be DQd
