Screw in 2 broke well and moved off on runup and into 3, difference between clearing at first and getting carted

He was just ahead entering the first, & I did not see him bumped, he just seemed to fall.

He got up, but by then his leg was caught up in his jacket, I think.

Makes more sense than how I saw it.

His rears legs got swept as he was only 2/3l up, needed an extra 1/3 length and wins, the bump probably cost it at least 1/2 length

T2's finish in his semi-final was crazy, zigzagged down the final straight having a good nosey.

Golf - Open De Espana

I was looking to oppose Miguel Angel Jimenez in this tournament, as for those who dont know, Miguel broke his leg at the end of December(http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/golf/20872268) and this is is his first tournament back since. He actually only confirmed his participation in this event last week and stated he has played rounds of golf but almost all of them has been using a buggy. He played a pro am event on Sunday, and walked some of the course and used a buggy for the rest. He has stated he is not 100% and merely stated he aims to make the cut. Its no surprise he has drifted from 55.0 to 75.0.

I suspect he is rushing back too early and is only playing here due to this being the only Spanish tournament on the european tour schedule this year, as opposed to the 7 it hosted in 2010. All of the Spanish players are attending, and contending is probably at the back of his mind. He clearly loves the course, and knows it well but its due to be a windy tournament and is certainly not one to be taken on with a rushed preparation. Corals have placed him in a tournament match bet with Raphael Jacquelin @ 10/11. Excellent golf tipster SportsBettingIndex has tipped Jacquelin up to win the tournament, and makes a good case stating that he has played this venue a few times himself and has a "great long term record in Spain". He has made 5 out of 6 cuts this year, 17/25 last, and played fine in a warm up event in France last week, finishing mid pack and closing with the joint 2nd best closing round. All in all, hes a very solid/dependable player, whos good in the wind and likely to play well and make the cut. Making the cut, will actually probably be enough to win the bet.

There are a few different players(E.Molinari and A.Quiros) we could oppose Jimenez with, but both of those have been out with injuries and are a little unpredictable. So I think Jacquelin to beat Jimenez with Coral in their tournament match bet deserves a decent investment. Maybe around £55

I happy to hear any alternative views.

Just been looking at this.

The course they are playing hasn't hosted this event for over ten years. A few of the comments and reports i read suggest its a special kind of challenge and local knowledge will be very useful. Hence why Garcia is so short. I see last time out it was hosted here Jacqulien was in contention (top 8 iirc). He therefore has form around the course and it may well suit his style. Also be aware that Jimenez was also up there that year and has history with the place.  However, I have read a few reports that suggest Jimenez is only going to be making up the numbers due to injury and i wonder if he is under pressure for sentimental reasons and sponsorship reasons to play.

Anyway, think the 10/11 to beat Jimenez over 72 holes is a great bet but noticed whilst looking through that you can also back Jacqueline at EVS in a match bet on Betfred over 72 holes vs Shane Lowry who hasn't as far as i can see played a tournament at this venue and he has also missed his last 2 stroke-play cuts and hasnt played for a month or so in competition. Raphael on the other hand whilst missing the cut narrowly last tournament made 13 cuts prior to that and is generally very consistent and as mentioned knows the course.

I am on as think its decent value but thought Fred would be interested.

Taylor v Barney
Recommend Taylot 180s under 2.5, he has only managed to beat this line once in his last 10 PLD matches, everywhere else is 4/6 or lower.
Sporting Bet  are 17/20

Lowry was T15 at the Valero a fortnight ago.
