We should all stick to horse racing.

Looking towards the US Open at Merion
With it not being the longest course on the Open rota I am thinking that if Donald can get his game it to shape he has a great chance, and with his odds being from 28-33/1 is it worth having a punt now?
Would think his driving is a bit too suspect win a US Open with the penal rough. He seems to have pretty bad results in it in the past.

5 players have now played twice on a night and all have performed poorer in their 2nd match. Between 4-13 points on the averages.
yarp!
Gone unders 180s (6.5) in the next and also (possibly not so solid) MVG under 100.5 ave
They just dont seem to be able to pick up after the first adrenaline rush
That was a rediculous sweat thanks to lewis! was on 6 and they hit 3 140's in the last, wiring 2 of them
Ave bet came in easy

Someone always knows more than I.
Always fun finding out who, though.

Horseplayer has a lovely way of disagreeing; it's basically a verbal cuddle. I never feel insulted, even if, as here, I couldn't work out whether it was a backhanded compliment or a clever insult.

Quite a different visual impact to the light and dark of the Candidates. Could almost be a school hall.
Standard fair in Master comps is to have a guest make the ceremonial first move for White on the top board. Here, it was the head of the international chess federation (FIDE), Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, playing the move Fabiano Caruana pointed him to: 1.e4 ("pawn to king four" in old money).

It just struck me, but rather than shuffle up and deal, why not have a big poker comp opened by the guest making the UTG player on the feature table's min-raise?
As in chess, the player has the right to take that first move back, I hasten to add. There are plenty of Mayors at opening ceremonies who haven't got the first clue about chess

There tends to be a announcements etc at the beginning of some tournaments already. I'd be far happier if they just got on with it.
At the WSOP I'd be fairly surprised if the majority want to pause for the ceremonies/anthems etc. Please don't add to it.
Ofc if I won a bracelet I'd hope they stopped traffic!

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

I'm not in charge, so you're safe for now.
