Morning Mr T.

Tennis starting soonish. Bedene v Hanescu. These 2 have met once before when Hanescu won in straight sets on a hard court, but both sets were tie breakers. There is little between them but Bedene prefers to play on clay, which today is.

Suggest £15 Bedene @ 7/5 with Betvictor.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/10210103/Gareth-Bale-tells-Tottenham-Hotspur-he-wants-to-hold-talks-with-Real-Madrid-over-85m-transfer.html

From a good reliable journalist

£85m if a straight transfer would be the record to land the bet hypothesised yesterday

Real still haven't actually made an offer (have to love Perez and his ability to unsettle players without actually apparently breaking any rules).

What worries me about this bet (OK Worries isn't the right word) is that Levy has seen this dance before with Modric and held out for a season. He's a dangerous man to bet against when he is holding the ace.

That said, £90m or whatever is a lot of money and it's tough to see spurs turning that kind of money down. The more I think about it, the more I think Levy will want players in part exchange, as we can't attract the big names we'd want.

No question Bale's head has been turned and it is annoying, but that is football.

It's hard to write Tal, but the bit about attracting players is valid to both our teams, and a very good point to make the bet worth a swerve I reckon

I don’t know anything about cricket so this isn’t a tip, just pointing out what seems to be a bit of a price discrepancy for others to discuss perhaps.

Warwickshire v Somerset, T20 today. Fred Coleman for top Warwickshire batsman is 33/1 at BetFred, yet the next best is Paddy with 25/1, most others are between 8/1 – 12/1, and Coral/Vic go 7/1.

33/1 seems very high compared to the others?

33/1 is more accurate

21 year old Scottish batsman who has 9 runs in 4 T20s for Warwickshire typically batting at 8 and hasn't got to the crease in his last three T20s for Warwickshire

One for the future (has represented Scotland) but a big ask for him to top score coming in after

Chopra
Porterfield
Maddy
Clarke
Evans
Woakes

Would need to see Warwicks under 50 for 4 or 5  for him to get a shot.

We both have pretty tight purse strings when it comes to wages as well. At least compared to the three teams above us and the Euro big boys.

#GloriousGoodwood going is now good, good to soft in places in the straight.

Even by Seamus standards this is quite possibly the least accurate going description ever seen anywere

Morning H, you are up early today.

That 7/5 with BetVictor is now 21/20. The price is dropping by the minute.

Best price I can get anywhere is 5/4, with BetFred.

Hope that is acceptable, as I've taken it. If that is too short, I'lll take the bet myself, off-thread.

We have £15 @ 5/4, BetFred, Bedene to beat the other bloke.

Thank you!

I had in mind a suggestion for Barnet at 16-1 for the Conference, then saw I had missed it as the Racing Post tipped it up and also saw at the weekend

- Davids is going to be wearing number 1, in midfield

- All Barnet players are instructed to call Edgar "Mr Davids" on the pitch. I thought this must be apochryphal so checked with a Barnet fan who informs me that at pre-season friendlies the rather sparse stands at The new ground the Hive could be heard to reverberate to the sound of "Here Mr Davids, here" as they call for Edgar to pass the ball to them mid game

I reckon this might just be the definition of a Billy Big Bollocks for the coming season!

I put my Barnet notions to one side, for the time being!

Cheers Tighty. Some very poor prices on offer for him then!

No, because I have not seen it, but Tighty has done previews of all the Leagues, & they are excellent reading.

I cannot currently access the site they are on (Betpal) as I am at work, but I'll Post them when I get home. They really are worth a read, & Betpal is free to view. scotty2hatty also contributes Greyhound articles there. Ditto ditto.
