I got a bit of spare time earlier so had a look at the future book.
Think we have a pleasant surprise, though my book looks a bit crap, several other people's look a bit better.
Of the biggies:
All our Big Brother bets seem to be on at good prices.
Tampa Bay Rays are still shorter everywhere than when we put our bets on.
The Red Sox bet is looking even better, we backed at 4/1 and they are now 4/6.
We have a lot of good cricket bets; Michael Clarke, Northants, Middlesex, Graeme Swann and Essex; together mean our cricket book is probably worth nearly £300 more than it cost us in bets.
Our Watford bets are also worth about £100 more than we placed on them.
All in all, I am fairly sure our forward book is worth several hundred quid more than we placed in bets. All we need now is for somebody to win Big Brother and we are quids in.
Well done fellas.
Excellent news!
We just have to convert a few of those biggies now.
Thanks Mr B.

May we have an NFL Glossary for Fred, please? I'm good with most terms after a few years watching the game, but what in the name of Bill Bellicheck is a dump off?

QB is looking for a WR on a deep route, but he is covered, so he flips the ball to a RB or TE who has sneaked out into the flat before he gets kebabed by a couple of onrushing DEs.

The QB receives the ball from the snap, he tries to look downfield for a receiver, going through his options
a series of options 1st choice to x, 2nd choice throw it to y etc
All of these players are covered, or the throws are not available, so he dumps the ball off to a running back/TE/Full back, normally a lateral throw in the back field, as a last resort to try and get some yardage on the play
p.s C J Spiller is going to have a great season and EJ Manuel improved a lot as the game went on. I did the game for my notes earlier this week

Whither Aston Villa minus Benteke and his broken leg?
Top price relegation 8-1 and unmoved at that price for the news
Yet if there was a player a Premier League team could not afford to lose, Benteke for Villa would be up there
there is a chairman in Lerner reluctant to spend the sums required to get them really competitive in the league
A lot of the younger players from last year will be much better for the experience, but without Benteke's goals, where do they go?
Thoughts please

I need to be quicker
Unfortunately I get (even more) verbose when talking about the NFL and its terminology
p.s I am still saving up two great bets for the end of pre-season
as we have seen with Brady, much can happen before then.....

Tonight, stretchered off "suspected broken leg"

Very well played to Aaron and Joe (hope you had £100 on!!!).
Remind me why Aaron isn't an instant-bet guy...
It's only well played Aaron. I was just following a good spot for small.
I would have said that earlier but only just back from the pub.
I wish it had been £100 Neil
but I did still win about £1000 on the match thank you to Aaron. If you see me in a casino beers are on me Sir.

The Brady MRI is negative, on "day to day" for recovery, not expected to miss any season time

I believe he is actually OK, Benteke that is. Think the broken leg was a twitter hoax.
