a quirky story again for everyone

Breno Bayern signed from São Paolo for €12m in 2008. He didn't settle in at all and in the end went to prison for arson. The slightly better news? He's on day-release now and it is nice to see Bayern looking after him. This is from AP:

Former Bayern Munich defender Breno has returned to the club while on day-release from his prison sentence for aggravated arson. "The time in prison has been very hard for me," Breno said at a press conference Monday, when he appeared alongside Bayern President Uli Hoeness.
The 23-year-old Brazilian will help coach Bayern's reserve side and youth teams, initially during his five hours of release every morning from the Stadelheim correctional facility, then increasing to eight hours if all goes to plan. "It means I can train again and maybe play again later on that's my dream," Breno said.
Breno has served 13 months of the three-year, nine-month prison sentence he received in July 2012 for setting his rented villa on fire the September before. Once he completes the sentence he will be deported from Germany. Former side Sao Paulo has expressed an interest in re-signing him. Hoeness, who is facing his own charges of tax evasion, said Bayern "will do everything it can to help."

horseplayer and team

4.15 at Worcester 2m hurdle

8 horse race with two 20-1+ rags

it pays 1/5 1,2,3

Even Money favourite who beat nothing much last time in a maiden hurdle

It's 5-1 bar. The 5-1 horse is under a 5lb penalty for a win last time out

3 7-1 horses. One (Watt Broderick) is a 70-75 rated flat handicapper, racing in this off 105 but not out since March

Up to the Mark has been racing off 2 1/2 miles and won't have the speed, looking at its videos

that leaves Taaresh who has been coming into form after a break

what would you have as an e/w alternative to this favourite?

I think the favourite will be pretty hard to beat and that puts me off playing each-way. I usually like races where you could see the short-price one being unplaced. If I had to choose maybe Up to the Mark which is a front-runner which likes fast ground and which may have some improvement.

Top one is an easy line through, No2 stable out of form, 3 is a total dog with the Timeform squiggle, four is blinkered first time probably just useless, 7 would be my alternative ew selection and I would be against 8 after the long lay-off.

I don't usually play ew in handicaps (unless there are 16+ runners).

I had actually intended to back the favourite. Didn't get matched at 11/10. Ended up laying 4/6 but I bet the wrong one each-way.

Cheers Rich. I may not have looked too hard otherwise.
