Mr T.

Yesterday someone proposed a bet on Dustin Johnson in this weeks Fed Ex golf thingy ostensibly because he just got engaged to Wayne Gretsky's daughter or sister. He is worth an each way dabble as his form in this tournament is superb as is his recent form. Chuck in his engagement and it is a super bet.

Thanks for the reminder H, I saw the bet but there was no warmth, or not that I recall.

Need to go Offline now for an hour or two, but I'll put it in my "Don't Forget" notebook, or I would if I could remember where I left it.

"The Manager of the Month is an association football award that recognises the best adjudged Premier League manager each month of the season. The recipient is chosen by a panel assembled by the League's sponsor, and announced alongside the Player of the Month on the first or second Friday of the following month.[1] It has been called the Carling Premiership Manager of the Month (1994–2001) and the Barclaycard Premiership Manager of the Month (2001–2004); it is currently known as the Barclays Manager of the Month.[2]"

ie its a subjective choice

anyway, points about max noted

also points about pochettino or lambert etc noted

5/1 is a price though!

Back to billy basics. We are assuming Citeh will have max points and a decent goal diff. Will peregrine win the award more than 1 in 5. Course he bloody well will.

Great spot. Great bet

5-1 on Pellegrini does look value.  Not sure about max bet though -  what are Saints fixtures?  Think they have a winnable home game Saturday against Sunderland and then Norwich away.  Of course Man City max points are more likely though.  I guess if Chelsea v Man Utd has a winner they are the 3rd option as well.   I think Pellegrini at 5/1 and the Saints boss at 10/1 are both value to be honest, in what looks a 3 horse race.

Southampton Sunderland home Norwich away

After Chelsea, United do not play again til Sun 1 Sept. Neither do Chelsea

If Villa beat Chelsea tonight, there's Lambert

I only see Pellegrini, Pochettino, Lambert as runners and probably Lambert not a realistic one as both Moyes and Mourinho can only get a max of 6 points

It was one of my throw aways.

I don't get warmth here, just derision and rebuffery, and Tal.

Loving the Pellegrini bet. If a new manager wins his first three games, let's say 10-0 on aggregate, they'd struggle not to give him the award, Man City or not.

Sid's 7/4 nearer the mark imo.

EDIT, Mourinho can get 9 points, a definite contender if he wins at Old Trafford.

My mistake.

I have a horrible feeling Chompy's new avatar is a sign that a new big brother bet is imminent.

I think Big sam has a great chance in that market at 14's.

Beat Cardiff 2-0 at the weekend plus two winable games coming up.

Away to Newcastle isn't as daunting as it once was and finally they have a gimme at home to Stoke.

Mourinho has to be a runner though, as if they win tonight and they beat Man Utd at Old Trafford then he's nailed on I'd imagine whatever the others do.  Of course Pelligrini far more likely to be sitting on 9 points given the fixtures and that would be enough even if Chelsea are on 7.

Either way, it's not 5-1 is it - the 7/4 by the other firm looks closer.

Arsenal 2.44 now, Fen 3.2 and sporting index still insist it's a choice of 2 game. Don't think I've ever seen such a discrepancy before
