To think he was always regarded as the Fergie successor, laughable to see where he has ended up
Why is it laughable? He will be on more money than some PL managers & he's getting on a bit.

Laughable to me, maybe not to you. I tend to laugh a lot and so find lots of things amusing.
Anyway, for a guy who looked like the world was his oyster, his career really has lurched downhill for a long time. I cant recall too many Irish/Scottish/Welsh managers that have gone onto great things after a stint at the helm of these teams.
Certainly dont see him ever being Utd manager now....

Shame that we didn't hold there, great spot and would have been nice to punish Betfair!
Still, the upside is that you're now in credit, Tikay
There's a novelty.......
What was the bet you presumably did for me, remind me please?
Officially, of course, the bet is not yet settled, I assume.
£15 @ 4/1 on MON
Not settled yet, but only a matter of time it would seem.
Well that'll do us nicely then, & cover the King bet, hopefully.
Really can't begin to imagine why MON would go for that job though, his career can't progress from there, & the job is poisoned chalice.
Maybe he'll be made an "Honorary Irishman" like Jack Charlton was if he does well.

Best leave things like that, Tom, only pain awaits down that route.

I've had a look at the Breeders Cup. I won't be going mad but I have tended to agree with a lot of what people have said here.
Marathon
Couldn't disagree with Pool Play or London Bridge. Both stay all day and most of these won't have a clue what is going on here and won't get home.
I quite like Worldly too but I wouldn't be sure it stays.
I like win-only in this race I think. None of the three I like are totally solid.
Juvenile Turf
I think I have to back Bobby's Kitten. I think it could go off way shorter than it is right now. At a bigger price I like the closer Poker Player. Generally though I think the track will help front-runners tonight. I can also see the case for Bashart.
Dirt Mile
Obviously Goldencents and Verrazano are front runners trapped wide. I think that they are a great lay as such and they offer opportunities. I'd imagine Taptowne could trap out fast from the inside and that looks a big price, similar story with Brujo De Olliers with more chance of it staying there.
If the race gets set up for a closer then Horsey's Holy Lute could be the one at a decent price. Hymn Book is also possible as a closer. Alpha is sure to come late down in trip and is a big price.
Juvenile Fillies
This race looks ripe for an upset, I just haven't figured out where it's coming from yet.
Al Thakhira is visually impressive but a short-price for one tackling completely different ground. Vorda is not bred to stay this trip and again it looks short when you consider the travelling and everything being new and different. Chriselliam is pretty inconsistent. They plan to drop her in. She may never get into it. My Conquestadory is drawn in the car park and is sure to be overbet.
Maybe Kitten Kaboodle?
Distaff
I like the pricewise Authenticity. I think it's just a tough mare that tries hard for you. Royal Delta is very similar, but nowhere near the price. Very solid though. I fancy her to turn around the form with Princess of Sylmar which I do not fancy on this track, with her style of racing.
Beholder is sure to be overbet. Not guaranteed to stay.
Hope that helps. Not giving you a recommend though.
Much appreciated, Neil, thank you.

Miss Gumede is on
It Takes Two
starting now on BBC 2.
On the Friday panel, with Jamie 'Live and Kicking' Theakston and Michael 'Eurovision' Ball, to complete the Nineties vibe is Donna Air. The most successful person ever to come out of Byker Grove. Ish.

Free bet with William Hill to use by tomorrow
If there are no better suggestions, and to save a last minute panic tomorrow...
England v Australia Rugby tomorrow, first of the Autumn Internationals
http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/internationals/england-v-australia/half-time-full-time
England Hallf Time, Australia Full Time at 8-1 William Hill
I am also (bad weather, Farrell will kick most of England's points, unproven side, likely to be close) a fan of
- The draw at 22-1 Boylesports or 23 Betfair
- A drop goal at 7/4 Paddy Power
- No home try scorer 100-30 Ladbrokes
I just scratch my head at some of the England selections and don't see the selection as being that coherent

Not put up a bet on here for ages.
I like 2 3 ball picks on the golf.
Fedez Castano and Keegan Bradley to win their 3 balls.
Both outsiders in their 3 balls when i think they should both be favs. I like Bradley as an outirght ew punt to, fully expect two low rounds with his monster power under control on this hard/long course.
Could double the 3 balls or just take Bradley in his 3 ball.

If we don't want to back Our Conor for the Champion, the half time/full time looks a good as any. Have we definitely lost that one from last week?
Not sure on why people here are fans of drop goal bets. Farell has one in sixteen matches, so unless the Aussies are prolific I can't see 7/4 to be value.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

It is more that in bad weather and a tight game the incidence of drop goals goes up compared to open games in good weather
I think it might be very close, obviously.
