I think there is an interesting bet in the NFL today. Arizona travel to Philly with a general line of Philly -3.5 and a total of 48.5. Normally in these spots the total and the pointspread are totally unrelated but I don't think that is the case here. Philly score a lot of points and like to run up and down the field at a high tempo. If they do this, imo, they win and cover. Arizonas only chance is to control the pace of the game and stop Phillys offense. If they do this they not only win the game (or at the very least cover) but the game will go under more often than 50% of the time. Seems a good spot for a double to me. Suggest 50 double on Arizona +3.5 and under 48.5 both at 10/11 with Ladbrokes.
These will be considered related outcomes. It's no different to supremacy and total goals in football. I had no idea this was the case. That is pretty dreadful from the UK books. Literally every US facing book will let you have these bets unless there is a high spread. They are missing out on a LOT of money generally. This is probably the only under double digits game I think has value and even then 3 of the four possible doubles aren't great imo (suppose Philly and over might be better than the individual bets. That must be why they wouldn't let me have them in a double.

vcbet have just gone up 16/1 appleton next sheff wed manager
get as much on as you can with them before it goes
he was in the directors box yesterday
no inside word or anything but he seems a fairly obvious fit and the fact he happened to be at the game yesterday makes 16's way out imo

I thought that, when I saw Kevin's face when the scores came through last night. They need to be careful about that, as daft as it sounds. Swingathon next week! We are looking for the good jivers who will likely get the extra marks.

Been a few rattlings about Pearce, can't see it personally, Appleton seems a perfect Mandaric fit, perhaps MacLeish could be a fit too. However Appleton may imbe in box as he was there manager previously?

would not dream of backing at 5's
wait till the morning when presumably at least a few other firms might open up a bit bigger
as i said its just an educated guess (ahem)

I miss the photo gallery, so I'm putting this up: Click to see full-size image. |
The Buffalo Bills are playing a home game in Toronto, as they do every year. A spectator has drawn attention. That's the Mayor, Rob Ford. You may remember him from making the news once or twice in the last couple of weeks. He's in a Fred Jackson jersey. I imagine Jackson is delighted.
