It's a maths bet - however the Lukaku, Griffith, Rhodes treble with Baldy Fred is a Christmas gift. Best price 5.09/1 with VCI and our little bald Manc pal will give us the 10/1. All against poor opposition at home I'd throw a tenner at it Tikay

Arrggh!

Don't be bringing your degen stuff here Shaun, next it'll be Accas, 5 folds, 6 folds, all sorts.

I inherently dislike these sort of bets, I just do.

Yes, I know about the valoooooooo, & punishing them & all that, but doubles & trebles just don't sit well with me I'm afraid. A nit can't change it's spots, & bookies earn their fortunes from punters doing doubles & the like. Fact.

We are on this for £10, but if it gets home, you have to say something nice about my poker skills. Fair enough?

PS - Good luck, & thanks.

We have £10 @ 10/1, Betfred, Lukaku, Griffiths & Rhodes all to be Anytime Goalscorers today.

Mitch is out for a lot less than 31. Seems a real tricky wicket to bat on

Great news.

I believe the term required now is HOLD.

Most New Year Novelty bets are guff but there are sometimes one or two good'uns tucked away.

Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips' baby hair colour. Hills  go Evs blonde, 3 Brown, 4 Black, Ginger. Black/ginger both seem pretty unlikely. She's a natural blonde but it's 50/50 whether the baby comes out the same (scientific fact), and pops has brown hair.

Rec £30 on brown at 3/1. Basically looks a flip.

Honest to God, betting on the colour of a baby's hair, this is getting bloody ridiculous.  I'd rather bet racist Jim being on Celeb BB, I really would.

Please be aware that Tighty is currently indisposed, & I'm not sure how long this will be, hopefully only a day or two, but it's unclear at present.

Mere will be updating the Spready in the interim, though it may not be in real time, so it may not always be 100% up to date.

I'll have to decide what to do about the Daily Reports later today (no need for one today), once I know the position better. I will not be able to do it tomorrow, as I'm offline most of the day, but either we go without, or I'll ask someone to stand in for Tighty with a mini version.

Good news from Sir Tight of End.

He is now available again (part time) but enough to continue with his Fred responsibilities.

Daily Reports may be brief for a few days though, & his blonde presence spasmodic, until normality is restored.

His son was admitted to hossie yesterday, & looks likely to remain there for another 4 or 5 days.

On behalf of all of us here, we hope all is soon well again, & the lad makes a speedy recovery.

Surely 3/1 on a flip is a max bet..... Grin

Great spot from the Royal Correspondent.

That assumes the father is Tindall. I have always had a thing for Zara, you know, & more so her Mother, God bless her.

I would assume that the Fred Royal Corry would be Tal - he's posh. Chompy is common, lower working class at best.

Bit behind on Fred and probably a bit late now but I did hear that Mount Belbulben had a terrible journey over having been rerouted via Scotland (on Monday I think). If it wasn't for that I'd have really liked it. Not a Cue Card fan (ground/trip/stable), think that Dynaste is way too short, would rather back Al Feof for the Gold Cup than the King George at current prices and could be tempted by Long Run each-way tomorrow.

Happy Christmas to all Fred followers and thanks to those who contribute so much.

Many thanks to you too Neil, especially for being so reliably & wonderfully Grumpy.

Punish them

Jeez, any other views on Long Run, then?

We are already on Cue Card, Mt Ben, & Al Ferof, the last-named which we were assured would trot up, hard held.

Prices are here....

Seems almost certain Bairstow takes the gloves from Prior. Slip cordon also heavily affected by the loss of Swann. Bairstow was described the other day by a former captain as not even in the best six wicket keepers in England.

Points, surely, to Monty Panesar as top wicket taker in England. 6/1 with Sid James, 9/2 ladbrokes and 4/1 with everyone else.

As for the bat, the market looks to my ice cream eyes to be weighted to the notion we are going to bat competitively in this test match. We are very short on form and grit, right now. Boxing Day test at the MCG in front of three times as many as at Lord's. Stokes is 10/1 with Laddies. Bresnan is 33/1 generally for the situation where England don't show anything new to the performances we have seen so far down under.

The England fan in me wants us to win the toss. The punter wants Cook to continue his run.

We are already on Monty, Tal, £20 @ 5/1 I think, but I believe it is FIRST INNINGS ONLY.

My bad Ripple, missed a zero of the rec amount. Obv 3/1 in a flip constitutes a Festive max.

Rec £300 @ 3/1 on non-blonde baby for the peroxide punter.

Brown barnet one time, oi oi!
