Just as an aside - James Hahn is quite the character - this from last years Phoenix Open:

http://youtu.be/0_s62MfvOYQ (can't work out how to embed)

Rumours that he celebrated in similar fashion on Friday are unconfirmed.

There you go, embedded.

Have to say, I don't like to see this sort of thing on a golf course. Most undignified. Football, yes. Golf, or even Cricket, don't need this nonsense.

Thank you. That footage is from the infamous 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale - dubbed the loudest hole in golf:

http://www.golfchannel.com/news/rex-hoggard/atmosphere-tpc-scottsdales-16th-hole-tough-duplicate/

There are some funny clips on YouTube of the fans at the hole.

I know you are not on this Tikay, but for those who are you might want to sweat the Dulwich Hamlet game kicking off today at 3pm. If they win they go top after Wealdstone lost yesterday.

http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/dulwich/match/10867

For the previous tip I put up of Hamlet possibly being shaky because of their new keeper, I didn't realise until too late but they had a game on Tuesday night away to Lesiton that they lost 2-1 and if I had seen that fixture I may have tipped it. Considering where Leiston are in the league I would imagine they would have been over 2/1. O well.

For today? Kingstonian in 4th and at home are 13/10. One to avoid. So willing on Hamlet.

Morning Mr T.

Today the English/Welsh rivalry takes place in the Heineken cup. I can't back Northampton at odds on to win this, but I hope that the pitch is still heavy and the expected rain arrives to make the unders a decent bet. The pressure is on Northampton who will settle for a victory of any sort.

Suggest £20 under 37 points @ Evs with Will Hill.

I actually like the unders in all 3 games today - such a pessimist !

ONE TO KEEP AN EYE ON

PP are currently offering 9/1 on Newcastle without the big 6, Everton are the huge favourites with IMO only Newcastle as a realistic challenger, so in effect its a 2 horse race
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/w-o-big-6

Although I do think 9-1 is good value and worth a small season sweat bet, I think it should be looked at again mid January.

Evertons next 5 games are all winable and should extend to their 4 point lead over Newcastle

Everton V Sunderland
   Thu 26 Dec    15:00
   Premier League
Everton V Southampton
   Sun 29 Dec    13:30
Premier League
Stoke V Everton
   Wed 1 Jan    15:00
   Premier League
Everton V Norwich
   Sat 11 Jan    15:00
   Premier League
West Brom V Everton
   Mon 20 Jan    20:00
   Premier League

Newcastles next 5 games

Premier League

Newcastle V Stoke
   Thu 26 Dec    15:00
   Premier League
Newcastle V Arsenal
   Sun 29 Dec    13:30
   Premier League
West Brom V Newcastle
   Wed 1 Jan    15:00
   Premier League
Newcastle V Man City
   Sun 12 Jan    14:05
   Premier League
West Ham V Newcastle
   Sat 18 Jan    15:00

at the end of this period I would expect Everton to open a 8+ point lead and Newcastles odds should drift to in the region of 12/1 to 16/1 (maybe more)

However, Newcastle then go on a long run of winable games (with the odd exception) and Everton have a run of  tougher games, and I would expect Newcastle to close the gap some what. Everton also have a very tough final 4 games.    2 away games at relegation contenders Hull and an impressive Southampton, and both Manchester clubs at home.

I'm not being a delusional footie fan, I don't actually think Newcastle will finish above Everton but there is a reasonable chance and 9/1 is value and worth a small punt maybe a tenner or a score, but definitely worth another look at come mid January where the value may well increase significantly.

REEVALUATION DAY

Things have gone pretty much as expected, Everton are currently 8 points ahead with Newcastle playing their game in hand against Man City today 2.05pm ko.........(so still 8 points behind come 4pm) Sad
Right now betvictor are offering 12/1 but hopefully this will be 14's+ after the Citeh game.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/w-o-big-6

I do think the 12's right now is value, but definitely worth the wait to see what's offered come 4-5pm

Newcastle from now till the end of the season IMO have a far easier set of fixtures than Everton, and I do expect Newcastle to close the gap over the next 6-7 games (Citeh game not inc.)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/everton/fixtures
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/fixtures

A big negative for the bet is that Newcastle team captain Fabricio Coloccini is out injured for a few weeks, and Newcastle are a far weaker team without him. However to counter that a little  Everton have Barkley out with a toe injury.

 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25700507

As mentioned in the original suggestion, I do think Everton will hold out, but i think it will be a lot closer than the 12/1+ suggests.
I genuinely think it will it could be decided over the Newcastle v Everton game on March 8th. A Newcastle MUST win game to have a decent chance of finishing above Everton.

I suggest £25 at a minimum 12/1
possibly lay the 25 off before the Newcastle v Everton game if the odds suit

Thanks Neil,

Yes, we will keep an eye on that after today's games.

We already have a position on Newcastle, incidentally, that feels better value somehow. We have them on the Handicap to win the Premier League with a 33 point start (!), £20 EW @ 20/1, qtr odds top 3. Think that price must be long gone now.

Not sure that Newcastle can sustain their recent good form, the squad looks precariously thin & lacking in depth. Loic Remy is awesome though, obv. For the fans, of course, be great to see Newcastle do well, & I'm hoping Sunderland get their act together soon, can't be a bad thing to have two great NE clubs doing well.

The 13/10 available with 365/PP to score anytime v Dundee United looks reasonable today.  He scored 23 goals last season, and leads the SPL scoring charts this season if ICT score I expect he will be the source of the goal.  Underfoot conditions are likely to be poor due to freezing conditions but the match has passed an inspection. I expect it probably wouldn't have been played if Sky weren't covering the game.

Conditions could be difficult and I expect this game to have goals.  Dundee United under McNammara play a quite expansive game.  ICT I haven't seen much of them recently but I don't expect that John Hughes will have changed his tactics from previous jobs.

With 17/18 games left i imagine the fixture list for both clubs is quite similar ?

Rinswun got the two golfers and the fact they had both scored albatrosses this week. Thanks to Bobby1 for the heads up on that quiz question.

Tal got Danny Ings, congrats.

Back on Wednesday unless Tighty is pushed tonight/tomorrow morning. Let me know.

Just got home in time to watch the Ospreys stage a mighty comeback against the Saints.

Ooops.  That was the one I meant.  I tried to get the post up quick.  I heard on the Radio this morning that the match was in doubt and then when I eventually got up and had a look at a few different markets this was the one I liked best.

IF it wins, reinvest some into Michael Crabtree OVERS receiving yards 49ers at Panthers

Any quote under 75yds at 10/11

I won't have time to give it the full encyclopeadia Britannica, but its the stand out sub market bet tomorrow imo

Overs.

Gotcha, will do.

Overs.

http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/san-francisco-49ers-at-carolina-panthers/total-receiving-yds-michael-crabtree

SkyBet go 67.5, Ladbrokes 75.5.

I'll settle for BMU @ 70.5.

Overs.

Will wait the outcome of this game first, before investing.

Overs you said, right?

Just a quick question on this

Why is the outcome of a bet the previous night affecting whether this is a fred bet or not ?
