The League 2 top scorer market is an interesting one, in that the top three in the list are (3+) clear of the rest, all are with teams chasing promotion, and all are being touted for better things.

3.6.5 go 2/1 Winnall (15), 5/1 Hogan (13), 6/1 Murphy (13), 11 Bar and are still 1/4 1, 2, 3. Not a palp either, just a very punter-friendly book.

This is not a fledgling market, we're 30 games through a 46-game season and there's a good chance the current top three will finish as the top three.

Scott Hogan is the interesting one:

"SUNDERLAND are rumoured to be among several clubs tracking the 21-year-old Rochdale top scorer.

Rochdale accepted a substantial offer from League One outfit Peterborough United for Hogan earlier this month, which was reported to be close to £1 million, but he chose to stay at Spotland, for the time being at least.

Hogan was signed on a two-year contract from Hyde last May and has more than rewarded the faith shown in him by manager Keith Hill.

He has scored 12 goals in 25 starts and two substitute appearances for Rochdale this season."

That story is semi-accurate from what I can work out. Poshies had a bid accepted and the player was keen to join, but his agent then screwed things up by asking for bigger wages than any Posh player has ever had, more even than Boydy, who was on a healthy chunk towards the end.

Match reports from this weekend are a bit odd. Keith Hill seems to be making out that he never wanted to sell the player and that the interest only served to mess with his head.

He's obviously going on to better things and Rochdale aren't in a false league position.

You're gonna love this one...Rec £100 EW, Scott Hogan 5/1 365, 1/4 1, 2, 3

I know we can't get on with 3 six 5 but if someone else can oblige?

Nice summing up Chompy, thank you.

3 six 5 permitted me a whole £7.50 EW, so fwiw, I have taken that, at least we have something.

If someone else could oblige for the rest, yes, I'd be grateful.

£7.50 EW @ 5/1, Scott Hogan, League Two Top Goalscorer, Bet365

Any word on the hair colour of our royal princess yet?

At this rate she will be getting her first blue rinse before we find out!

Curling update.

Played poorly v Sweden. Struggled with the ice. Had a chance in end 8 to get it 5-5 with them having the hammer but Anna Sloan played a bad shot on a take out but her own stone was about an inch outside the house when an easy 2 was there for the taking.

Not a disaster. Hope to beat Canada to get in the 1-2 game otherwise it'll be the 3-4 game same as Rhona Martin did all those years ago.

I like Brighton to win at home to Leeds on Tuesday.
Brighton's form is patchy, and their manager is under a bit of pressure, plus losing Bridcutt is a blow.
On the flip side everyone else is now fit, and they have been playing decent/creating chances, without scoring too many goals.

Leeds aren't great, and still have a bit of behind the scenes distraction.
Brighton should be odds-on (imo), and will probably be 10/11 by the off.
Currently 11/10 which is a bit of value (were 6/5 this morning which has gone now).
Recommend £30 @ 11/10 with BetThread or Lads.

Not forgotten this Neil.

Think the debate is whether it offers value.

Evens is the best available to Fred now, via Ladbrokes.

Brighton have gone odds-on now, so, even if it was a bet before, isn't now.

Just don't wear the jacket from the last time:

Jeeves: I had assumed it had got into your wardrobe by mistake, Sir, or else that it had been placed there by your enemies.
Bertie: I'll have you know, Jeeves, that I bought this in Cannes!
Jeeves: And wore it, Sir?
Bertie: Every night at the casino. Beautiful women used to try and catch my eye!
Jeeves: Presumably, they thought you were a waiter, Sir.

Sorry for no daily report today.

Just spent 40 minutes inputting the bets placed in the last 24 hours. Miss a day, and one is screwed!

Anyway the loss mtd is down to less than £100 - Fognini

Fofana scored a try yesterday, so thats a start for that bet

I will catch up before tomorrow. So many bets to find out how we are doing, so little time....

This is the pitch for the first Test Match in pretoria this Wednesday South Africa v Australia

Weather permitting, this game simply cannot be a draw, the pitch is used, looks old and tired and worn

Not a drop of rain predicted either, all of which should see the win the toss and bat decision

February 2013's third Test lasted a mere three days on a better wicket than this

the home side have lost just once in 18 Tests here (14 wins), a defeat with an asterisk hovering over it given the subsequent match-fixing revelations (Hanse Cronje declaration to let England win)

Australia haven't played a test here since 1997

Neither side have strength in spin but Mitchell Johnson and Dale Steyn are going to be lethal bowling to the near end in the photo, due to variable bounce

We can play all this in a variety of ways

the draw is already a 100-30 outsider. We could lay that

We could wait for the toss and back either side odds against, SA currently 5/4, Australia currently 2/1. Whoever wins the toss should be a de facto odds on shot

Match starts on Wednesday 8.30am so this is a heads up for an early morning bet.

Wanted to wait for more firms to price up but be surprised if we beat 6-1

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/2014-02-11-southwell/15:40/winner

Suggest £30 win Danisa 6-1 vcbet

reasoning to follow later fancy potentially a few more dependent on prices

Same reply, snoozed & losed.

Thanks, I've swerved it @ 9/2, but will get on if you say so.
