I don't like Jordan Speith much, not backing him again, hard to funk for someone so stroppy and angry. Woulda won me a few grand but Bubba's been all class and Speith like a spoilt little boy
Much as I love me old mucker Jaffa, I did have a laugh at this.
Has Jaffa become the new Gentleman Ben at the poker tables in the last five years?
Not sure my behaviour at a poker table has ever been bad, but if it was, I wouldn't be surprised to see that others are rooting for the other guy to win. I'd never watched Speith play before, and great shout Doobs and u for championing him, but cheering on Speith is hard work, like cheering on the Wimbledon of old while they're playing against Barcelona
Not surprising you haven't seen him, he is 20 years old, and I think they said this was only his 3rd major!
and the coverage is always tailored to the top of the leaderboard/good shots

I tend to forgive people who are 20 a lot. I wasn't particularly rounded at that age, and don't think many are. I was way older than that when I started playing poker properly and am sure I used to whinge and moan way too much then too.
The guy is hugely talented and hopefully we can get the big win before he is too short to back.
If he carries on this nonsense in 5 years then I'll start hating on him too.

I'd have probably given it the Happy Gilmore when things started going wrong, and I said much the same to Jeff last night... I think we probably had bigger tantrums over big 2 outers going back a few years
He's won us all a nice few quid, so hopefully he'll learn from this and get us weighed in at 100/1 when he wins the Open!

Did you not get the money back on that Marathon bet or was that factored in with the loss? Would doubt they could allow a bet on someone who pulled out a week earlier to stand
its in the WH account as a loser
i have asked tikay to check this with Hills, non runner=void etc
I'm still waiting for ladbrokes to reply about this. Have sent them 3 messages.
It's surely a 100% refund job.
How can you offer odds about someone who pulled out a week before, and to make it even worse-immediately settle it as a loser.
Obviously those that don't even check if he ran will most likely not be credited back at all.
Fair play to coral for once on this, immediately refunded me once i'd highlighted it, hope they did the same for everyone though-without ppl needing to contact them.

Compared to Patrick Reed, Jordan behaved like a saint.
I mean seriously the guy is 20.
Gen didn't think he did much wrong at all.

Quite surprised to see Mr Greenspan as big as 14/1 for this now has had 3 entries in maidens since its last run at Kempton despite having a mark of 76.
Very much doubt it will have enough to win this but i am watching with interest to see if its learnt from the Kempton run.
Not a fred bet btw

Loving the Speith debate.
Golf is so much between the ears and if at 20 when he should have so little to worry about apart from beating about 70 other players. If he continues beating himself and his Caddie up for playing badly, making mistakes, he is going to have to go a lot further then somebody with equal/lesser talent but a better mentality.
He is good, really good, but his inability to keep calm could be the difference between having a record like Westwoods and having one like Tiger's. He will win comps and he will make millions of dollars but he could be one of the best and that's a shame if he never quite converts because he can't sort his head out.
America is so desperate for a new "great white hope"in golf, they seem to have destroyed Rickie with pressure to succeed and he is level headed, brainbox with what appears wisdom beyond his years (but very bad dress sense), Speith will have far more pressure then just winning a major or two - America expects to have the world number one, expects to have the same player in contention every Sunday afternoon, that is huge pressure for a 20 year old with a panchant for calling his Caddy a ****ing idiot for passing him a club he asked for, does not fit the bill for me.

Shit post Nakor, such a clown.

Just had my money refunded after the 4th message to crooks.
However, a friend of mine did the same bet with Pam Raims.
They claimed that as they were unaware 'as he also was'-slight dig imo, when placing the bet-that said man was a non-runner-the bet was all in and didn't matter that he had pulled out a week ago. Almost an ante post market on the day so to speak.
As a 'generous show of good faith' they said they would refund the amount as a free bet due to their customer service commitment. Not the same as a cash amount though obviously. Also why should he feel done a favour for, they should apologise.
Hardly good faith when they may as well as had David Beckham in the betting according to their logic.
Disgusting rules and horrific attitude from them all round.

Anyone else super impressed with Jonas Blixt yesterday? Thought he was arguably the one to take out of it, especially at the future expected prices

Yep massively.
Seemed quite level headed afterwards too when spoken to.
Shame in a way he was paired with Kuchar yesterday, who is just having mare after mare on the final day right now.
Would have been nice if he'd had someone to bounce off perhaps. Thought at one stage he was going to be mega close.

Agree too
Rock solid temperament. Would be interesting to see him paired with say Stenson in the Ryder cup. could be a formidable combo

In his press conference, he forgot who the Ryder Cup Captain was.
Monty would have cut him for that alone.

100% he would have tried to.
Monty really is an absolute joke on Sky.
Always has to bring it back to his career about ten times a show.
Constantly giggles like a little girl at the slightest joke he finds amusing.
Throws a strop when his opinion is challenged by anyone.
Thought our captain Paul Mcginley was fantastic though both as an expert and as a commentator.
