Morning Mr T.

The biggest rugby league game of the season so far is on today when Leeds host St Helens. St Helens have lost their aura of invincibility after 2 losses in the league and a very narrow win against Huddersfield in the last round of the cup. The weather is going to make this a tight affair as rain is forecast. I think Leeds better defence will carry the day but by less than 12 points.

Suggest £20 Leeds to win by 1-12 points @ 2-1 with Hills.

By the way it is guano not guana.

Hi Tikay

Been holding off till I felt I had something useful to contribute, but guess now is as good as any to confirm my Ice Cream status. Guess I will post the last bet I have made and find out the thoughts of the experts.

Man U -1 v Norwich @ evens with B o y l e Sports

Reasoning
I really feel United will be going out to attack this game which Giggs has pretty much stated in press conferences, they will be free of Moyes negativity, and there should be some players that will be looking to perform who have not been able/selected in correct positions during the Moyes reign. I expect Old Trafford to be rocking tomorrow with there golden boy in charge of the club and for the first time this season everyone will be on the same page and I expect United to come out strong.

Concerns are that Norwich will be fighting for everything and managed to score a couple against Liverpool last week, but I feel that says more about the Liverpool defence/philosophy than the Norwich attack.

To clarify I am not a Man United fan, I'm a Newcastle fan (for my sins) and have firmly been in the ABU camp since King Kevs blow up all those years ago, but I just really fancy United this weekend.

I've been trying to understand how some of the others find value in the bets but still not 100% so not sure if the 'evens' represented value or not.

It didn't work out too well for Newcastle when we put the golden boy in charge a couple of years back, but hoping this is a different story Smiley

Looking forward to learning more from this brilliant thread

Kev

Morning Kev, & & good to have you aboard.

You had a lovely reception from the regulars & Elders, as well as Chompy.

I guessed a Newcastle supporter, but "chemical"? Not "Chemical Brothers" inspired, I suppose?

You a poker player, if so, have we ever crossed swords @ the table?

By tradition, we auto place your first Recomend, butttttttt.....

Arbboy suggested a different method of getting with United, so the decision goes back to you now.

Incidentally, I 100% agree with your logic, & I'm pretty sure Old Trafford will be rocking & rolling this afternoon, & Norwich are going to get a proper old-fashioned battering.  3-0 minimum, imo.

I would just add that crap teams are often too short at the end of the season because they "have something to play for".  Don't think the stats back this up and crap teams usually continue to play like crap teams.

Anyway if you are auto betting, arbboy has effectively just suggested a better price so you should autobet away.

Yes its an auto bet for the newbie.  I just stated a better way of having the same bet effectively for Kev and getting 11/10 rather than evens.  We should def honour tradition and get him on board with a bet on his selection.  As it happens the 11/10 is gone at 365 but paddy still have kev's original bet at the original price.

See link below.

gl kev you are on a gamble already.  More of these please!

Bugger! I thought it looked wrong.

I should have just typed "bird shit".

I've no idea if Tighty is around today, & he was AWOL most of yesterday (hope he is OK), so I'll sort that it shortly.

Agree with Doobs there

Seen the usual suspects elsewhere putting up sides "with something to play for"

There is very little evidence certainly in England that sides who have been poor all season suddenly become good and win a lot more.

The lower down the leagues the way a lot of the contracts are now even sides in mid table will have a lot of players out of contract or coming to be in a month trying to be offered a new one or attract someone else.

Good luck Kev

Hughton was boring and dull but could keep the goals down not so sure they will be able to resist at least 3 under Adams today

Bit of a world cup Banzai for you. Guiseppe Rossi top scorer in World cup.

He was top scorer in Serie A prior to getting injured in January. Prandelli (Italy manager) called him up to a recent pre world cup fitness camp, and Montella is confident he will be back fit for Fiorentina for the coppa final in may.

I'd imagine him to play alongside Balotelli in a 3 or a 2 whether Italy play 433 or a 352.

I think the price you can get with BMU is deffo worth a tenner each way.

£10 each way @ 125/1

Thanks, & if nothing else, BMU are way out of line there.

I'll not wait for feedback, or Tighty, as that price is unlikely to last, so we are on.

Without doubt worth the risk

At full fitness on form at start of season he would be a 33's shot tops

Unlikely he plays all the games but even so 125-1 is to big by far

Bournemouth vs Forest.

Forest have found some form again, seemingly just the right time, with back to back wins.

Bournemouth own remote chances disappeared realistically with the defeat to Wednesday, so won't have that edge.

With Reading away to donny today then they have Burnely at home.

Forest last game against Brighton, so it is in theirs hand to catch Brighton.

Reading only need to drop some points and Forest will go into playoffs.

5/2 (whil) forest i think is great bet. Recommend £20.

Looks like he popped on @ 10.30 this morning, too, so maybe he's just busy.

Think he was the ring leader in the Leics Championship party at Crystals in Leics last night! Showing my age.  Does crystals nightclub still exist?
