Ronnie needs 1 frame (12-11) and is 1.14 on Betfair.

That seems very short.

That price won't last long!

Imperious.

Havig said what I have above, Red's point is very interesting.

Often wondered why so many real shorties seem so long comparatively in the place market, suppose that explains it.

I think it is probably fairly close.  I don't have time right now but I will run the numbers later and report back.  It does make a fairly big difference that we are taking a lot worse, in relation to betfair, than is usual for a shorty.

Anyone else out there think Gabrials Kaka is a lay at < 3/1 in a very competitive 16 runner handicap 15.25 Haydock. Love the horse and was given a brilliant ride by Spencer last time, but seems very little margin for error at this price? Example of recency bias?

In last 15 minutes, Ken finally looks like a man who has been at a snooker table before. Rattled in a 93 and straight back in.

I agree Simon. It won readily last time and I could see it winning here of course but I don't think laying it at 3/1+ is the best way to oppose it...

This is a race where some horses are off a long lay-off, may not love the ground or may be drawn poorly. I'd rather pick something solid that doesn't fit in that group and bet each-way. 16-runner handicaps are great from a place point of view and that is made even better by a favourite skewing the market. You could back three or four ew and you wouldn't be making an error.

Tighty has been in touch, he became most unwell yesterday, and was hospitalised overnight.

He is back home now, and ok, but has been told to rest up for a few days.

He is much missed, and I'm sure I speak on behalf of all of us in wishing him a speedy recovery.
