The Yankees are playing a double header against the Pittsburgh Pirates, evoking memories of the 1960 World Series, Dick Groat, Bill Mazeroski and a pickernick-basket-less Yogi Berra

The Yankees just won the first game and above is Brett Gardner sliding in to second base as the ball whizzes past Clint Barnes, following an errant throw.

Bad start to the nba conference finals. Pacers beat Miami easily in game 1 at home. Will be pretty impossible for the Pacers to play that good again though hopefully.

Put this in world cup thread too.
Really like the top 2 in this market. They are in the hardest groups and don't have any outstanding goal threats.
Think you could back both ew profitably, think we would be really unlucky to be outside the top 3.
I can see both teams scoring maybe 1 goal.

Daily Report
Profit on Month £293.45
Outstanding Bets £2422.70
Free Bets £25 Betfred £20 William Hill

No bets completed yesterday
- In the NBA Play-offs, in the first games of the last four, the Indiana Pacers beat the Miami Heat 107-96. 80% of vegas money was on the Heat and to be frank they looked a bit complacent. Seven game series so time to turn things round. The Pacers were really happy to have sprung the upset
- Tonight game 1 of Thunder-Spurs. I have come to the conclusion that if the Heat win, we want the Spurs. If the heat lose, we want the Thunder, given the shape of our book
- In cricket the Sunrisers Hyderaverybad lost again, third game in a row at home, inexplicably only posting 142 against KKR and failing to defend. Hopes of the top 4 for the play offs are slipping away, which at least would send Aaron Finch over to Yorkshire earlier than he might have expected
- In baseball the Royals beat the Orioles 8-6. Alex Gordon, pictured, scored 6 RBIs with two 3 run homers. not bad
- In a double header, the Pirates and Yankees won one game each. With Baltimore only winning 4 of their last 10 games, the Yankees now lead the AL East and are slightly ahead of the schedule of wins we need for them to be under 86.5 wins for the season
NY Yankees 23 20 .535 -
Baltimore 22 20 .524 0.5
Toronto 23 22 .511 1.0
Boston 20 23 .465 3.0
Tampa Bay 19 26 .422 5.0
Meanwhile, in 25 days time Brazil play Croatia here. At least its almost ready, perhaps leave the snagging report though lads?
we need more world cup tips please. plenty on the wc discussion thread if any appeal to anyone
also yesterday

PP will accomodate for less than £1 each, which isn't too helpful
Other prices are worse, i will wait for your advice

Sir Jack Brabham died? - good Lord, I never knew.
Never realised he was 88, either. He was a colussus of motor racing back in the day.
He had 3 sons who were quite successful in motor racing, too.
His Wiki is a tremendous read, he was in at the very beginning of top level motorsport as we know it, & was a childhood hero of mine.
Oddly, his forename is "John".

Some of the creations he designed & drove look a little odd these days......

Why is it odd that his forename was John? Jack is a nickname for people called John. Jack Straw is another example.

F1 cars were a little different back in the day, these are from 1969.
And sometimes things went a little awry......heaven knows what MardyBum would say if this happened to him.
