If the ground is on the fast side of good, Varian will pull Kingston Hill out. He's done it twice this season already, including in a Classic.

yes. so is there anything value elsewhere in the race, or wait for a new market to form?

Only 356 and Ladies are NRNB, so now would be a good time to bet with the rest I guess.
Not looked at the race at all, though, so can't advise.

BV have priced up all the coming FA Cup games - over 100 games I think featuring teams their compilers will know nothing about. Not had a chance to look through and am by no means an expert but there must be mistakes in there.

I like Morgan Schneirderlin first goal scorer against Newcastle this weekend at 16/1 with 365. Think it's at least a few points too big.
I have always felt he has been unlucky not to have scored more goals than he has for Saints over the years. He is being asked to threaten the box far more now with the assurances of Davies and a settled Ward Prowse who has found his best position sitting deeper.
This is a map of shots so far this season - Schneiderlin on the left, Ward Prowse on the right. Green is on target.
Expect to continue to see him making lots of late breaks into the box while Tadic/Long work the flanks.
As for the 4/5 on Saints to win - think it's one of those games to just leave alone.

Long time lurker first time poster etc
Would like to thank all the regular posters for their wonderful contribution to a fantastic thread, barely a day goes by when i do not spend a good few hours on here.
I would like to present something constructive to the thread...
As my name suggests i am a keen Southend United fan, and would like to propose a bet on Jack Payne to be first goalscorer on saturday against Pompey.
Payne is a young 19 year old talent who has only really made a breakthrough in the last couple of games. He started in the JPT trophy
against Wimbledon scoring twice, and made his first league start at the weekend against Oxford, where he opened the scoring.
It is not just the fact of 3 goals in two games, it is more the point that he will frequently get in dangerous positions playing at the tip of a narrow diamond as he did on Saturday. That combined with the poor goalscoring records from our so called goalscorers he looks an excellent bet at 19-1 with veee cee or 18-1 with a few others (strangely was 20-1 with billys as i was typing but since been cut to 12-1)
365 seem to have the right idea only putting him in at 9-1.
As an aside not quite as keen on him e/w or anytime for a couple of reasons, altho unlikely to be bad value. Firstly Southend are not in for a huge number of goals and he is unlikely to last 90 mins, was subbed after 60 on saturday much to the crowds frustration, with Phil Brown basically saying that he wanted to shut up shop at 1-0

Hi Mark
He does seem to be priced more as a holding midfielder than an advanced player
We were limited to a fiver each way
Happy to put more on if you like, but would need someone else to do it

Always enjoyed my trips to Roots Hall. Got promoted there, sat in the old main stand a few times. Was on the bad away terrace before the flats went up too in the early 90s.
anyway, its good that new people are posting, great news for the thread.
local knowledge is always welcome too
as a first time poster your first bet is placed. its all downhill from here.....

Yea that's fine.
I got on the Caulker bandwagon after your recommends last season Tighty. He has had 7 efforts inside the box this season (6 of those with his head) - joint top with Ivanovic for defenders. Can get 18/1 anytime against United on Sunday who have been poor at dealing with set pieces this season. I have thrown another fiver at him.

Think I suggested a decent ew bet on Snow Sky for Ledger after last run at York(may have been on RT), but price gone now.
Like Al Kazeem in Irish, looks like he hasn't lost any of his talent(3 Group 1's to his name) and probably been primed for this. 16s looks one of those ew steal prices.

Agree with Al Kazeem....should be half that price and more for the place.
