Very hard to understand attempting to incentivise shop staff with a profit target instead of a turnover target. How the hell can you hold them accountable for a result like a miracle Lucky 15? Just shows in their ideal world they want to  be a high street casino full of FOBTs and no variance for them.

We backed Man City?

Really like the unders in the stoke liecs game seems to have drifted to an incredible price given sporting index had it in at 2.2 2.4 early doors. 10/11 under 2.5 def worth an interest

Targets in betting shops for staff are comical.  My local shop manager at ladbrokes thinks he is the ladbrokes trading director the way he protects his shops margin and refused bets without even asking head office if they want to accept them.  He has admitted to me that he has never even asked head office if they want to accept my bets and told me I am not welcome to place any bets in any of his three shops in his area but it's fine outside of his area and he couldn't care less.  This is why the worlds biggest bookmaker is falling so far behind the game it's untrue

For those that can get on beteveryday are going 4 places in the Leger.

That means you are getting pretty exceptional value on Neil's tips in Tighty's column on Betting a Emporium.

Think Hartnell at 20/1 and 4 places must be very good.  I know he is a bit of a plodder but every year the final 2 furlongs catch up on a few horses, but they shouldn't stop this one.  5/1 first 4 places looks very very generous to me.

My local Ladbrokes manager was told she needed to watch her profits. She asked what can I do about it, you put the prices up ?
She was told, just keep an eye on them, they're a bit low.
She still, has new idea what they want her to do.

Quarter first 4 you should probably be backing as many as you can get away with.

I find the whole thing really odd and so customer unfriendly to the point where the shop manager wouldn't want to lay a bet at all on have last day of the year if their bonus is locked up I would actively tell every punter to go to the shop next door selfishly to protect my bonus.  You can't use a turnover bonus either as you would just be forced as a manager to lay every pro punters bets to full stakes to make your bonus.

Is amazing how bad ladbrokes management actually are at such basic things such as this which clearly damage the business on the bigger picture and how out of tough their CEO is to why the business is under performing in anything non fobt which obviously print money themselves with hardly any management at all

Despite not running well lately with the WH mobile offer, Estidhkaar 2.05 Donc and Aljamaheer 3.15 Donc look like strong candidates maths-wise

1 x Winner, 1 x £25 Free Bet.

Thanks Simon!

Tighty wil be proud of me, I actually got a winner on.

Not taking anything away from Kingston Hill, but thought that was a very impressive run from Romsdal. Can't help wondering if he'd have gone even closer with another run under his belt.  Would have been a bit gutted if he'd won without having a penny on him,  been following with interest since his 2nd to Orchestra at Chester.

Odeon was a useful reminder that British racing is still the most amateurish professional sport in the world. Wink
