Certainly wouldn't be rushing to back Treve after that race, but dont think its a dead duck if ground goes soft.

Got a nice reserve tho, that prob pays more than she does tbh, but as its been a year long sweat, it feels I would prefer to Treve return to form.

Very sure Peter Beardsley next Newcastle manager is a very good bET.

Ashley likes to build from within.

He doesn't like to spend money on compensation packages.

He knows the fans need to get back on side as Peole are very very angry at the moment.

Beardsley has developed young talent like rolando aarons, Armstrong etc and will be familiar with them.

He's obviously a legend in the club.

Perhaps most importantly he Always tells the fans how great ashley is.

Crucially, Pardew will get fired and I think Beardsley will be out in charge as temporary manager. Our next fixtures are


Hull (h)
Crystal palace (a)
Stoke (a)
Swansea (a)
Leicester (h)

There's a good chance he does well in these games and gets the job.

I'd imagine he should be in the top three favourites for the job but he is currently 50/1.

I would imagine these will be the top three in most Premier league positions that might become vacant, and any of them could fit Newcastle just fine?

but the factors you mention must hold weight, even allowing for the faxct there isn't a vacancy yet so the fixtures for any caretaker might not be those you list. The person hiring is a one-off though

£10 Karun Chandhok unplaced in Formula E Beijing. We did well though, if I had been up half an hour earlier yesterday we would have backed a driver to win who was actually in Germany for the DTM.

Very annoying! If Karun didn't run out of power on the final lap he would have had the 3rd place after Daniel Abt's penalty!! :-(

I can't really understand why da Costa would choose to race DTM rather than Formula E - especially when his season is going so badly in Germany, the only thing I can think of was that he was contractually bound. He was initially on the entry list for the Beijing ePrix though, before a late change ... anyway he'll be back for the next race, will be interesting to see what price he's at

As a Newcastle fan, I'll weigh in on the Pardew situation and say that there is NO WAY Pardew will be sacked. He's the ideal "puppet" that mike ashley wants, and his contract is one that lasts for ages, there's no chance that mike will pay him off in my opinion.

Bruce seems the fav atm and didnt deny anything other then to call it inappropriate because pardew still had the job.

Beardsley would be brilliant hes not only a geordie legend hes also got the personality to be loved by the toon army as manager the way keegan and robson were, weaknesses/ failings made them more endearing. He aslo loves the toon and is prepared to be involved in any capacity unlike egotists like shearer.

Good bet, think it has legs as said and perfectly fits into the status quo and newcastles record of hiring from within

Choral just tweeted that they have taken £15k at 3-1 on the YES vote in their Putney shop. Of course uproar on twitter that they won't lay £25 on a dog, but say they have taken this bet.

I tried to get £2400 at a bald shop i have never been in before 2 weeks ago at 1/4 on yes and they offered £800 to win £200.

Your going into the wrong shop, Hills have taken £800k from one customer on NO and biggest bet on YES with them was £10k. Apparently.
