Wow, Bottas so nearly got Pole until he mashed the final corner.

I think the Kvyat bet was a winner.

Right, my pre-quali recommendations:

Race Winner: Valtteri Bottas @ 33/1 with Totesport. He has an exceptionally quick car this weekend, he'll be in the mix if Lewis (who admittedly is flying) has a problem, 33/1 is crazy. Min bet.

Qualifying Winning Margin: +0.25 @ 5/4 with Bet365. Surprised this is above evens! Again, Lewis is flying this weekend, I expect him to be considerably ahead of the field. Suggest £5.

To reach Q3: Daniil Kyvat @ 4/6 with Betfair Exchange. Daniil has an extremely quick qualifying car under him, unless he has a problem this should easily happen based on the data I've got from practice. Recommend £25.

May post some more in an hour or so, the market is still forming after FP3.

Fred having a bet on the Cesar Caesar Cesar big race this afternoon?

Skai, Ladderbrokes and TheOneWeDon'tMention are six places for fellow icecreams with accounts. Rest will pay first five.

It wouldd seem that, nominally at least, I am in charge today, so if anyone finds us a decent bet, we'll have a dabble in the race we can never spell correctly.

Did you know that the race was named after a Russian Prince bloke, Tsesarevich Alexander, after he bribed the Jockey Club for what we can reasonably assume were mischievous reasons? Eat your heart out Phil Ivey.

I did not know that. Nice.

Noble Silk, Communicator and Big Easy for interest bets. Obligatory forecasts included for the complete mugpunter get rich quick package. Hopefully the racing elders will give Fred something more inspired.

Am playing chess today, so will be out of action this afternoon. VBOL all today. Let's make some money

Good luck with the Chess match. Can we bet on you? (No "lay him" jokes please).

I'm hugely ring-rusty. Early season games are a lottery for me Smiley  Wouldn't be doing the husband wheelbarrow run today.

Play aggressively and see what happens is the plan.

The husband wheelbarrow facility may not be available today. Last I heard, Pete was missing in action, after leaving home with a fully laden wheelbarrow.

The wanderer has returned. Not feeling too chipper. A bad packet of crisps apparently.

Crisps? Yes yes, of course. He just can't hold his crisps these days.

Not sure I know anyone who still drinks Martini, but love that Williams Martini Racing livery, looks so classic.

Agreed, reminds me of rally cars back in the 1970's, and that iconic Brabham F1 car.

Lincoln Vs Telford (conference)

Over 2.5 goals (8/11 ladd)

Telford bottom to lower-mid table Lincoln.  Both teams average well over 3 goals in total per game.  Lincoln in 15 games have scored 23 and conceded 27.  7th highest in the league for goals scored, and the best outside the top 10.  4th worst defence in the division.

Telford, bottom, worse defence in the league, but have scored 19 which is the 4th best outside the Top 8 sides.

Telford games average 3.73 goals, Lincoln games average 3.33 goals per game.

Recommend £30

Thanks Waz.

I don't know much about this sort of Bet, or League, but Ladbrokes seem nicely ool, so we are on.

Have rounded it up to £33, to make the numbers nice & round.

£33 @ 8/11, OVER 2.5 Goals, Ladbrokes.

BET PLACED

Northern Ireland Vs Faroe Is.

Northern Ireland -1 (5/6 with several)

NI won away last time out with a huge result away to hungray so will be buzzing still.  From what I can see, this is their first home game too since Sept 13? (*soccerway)

Faroe have conceded 10 in last 4, and on 3 occasions 3 goals per game.  Apart from beating gilbratar, they've scored 3 goals away from home since 2012 (9games)

Recommend £30

Thanks.

The match is noit until this evening, so we have plenty of time on this one & we can load up later if need be.

Several Firms have similar prices, & all the evidence you present is freely available & so presumably in the price, so is this one really genuine value?

On the face of it, yes, it all adds up, but I just don't know if it is value. (I know the Conference one probably is, as most Firms are shorter).

We could use some feedback on this one.

Well done on the Kyvat bet Pete, so now we are freerolling a Bottas win. We have 25/1 Bottas (recommended @ 33/1) & he is now generally 12/1 (15/1 best) & as short as 10/1 in a few spots.

Yes thats true. See what they feedback is.  I always think along the lines of (assuming we arent disputing they'll score) once they do, the odds will be around 1/3+. Where we would have 5/6

Criquette Head has announced that @AlShaqabRacing have decided that Treve will stay in training next year and go for 3rd Arc success

Calling Chompy!

Yikes! Am very surprised. Didn't think she took her racing well this season, getting sweaty etc.

They should wait until the autumn, as that's obv her time of year. Would definitely take her on in spring/summer races.

In the GP2 race at Sachi, a car broke down after 7 laps - they immediately inserted the Safety Car.

Yep, fingers crossed!! We do need Hamilton to have a problem though, otherwise he'll run away with this race.

Aye - safety car is a massive possibility here - that was a good bet.

Plenty of time yet, but yes, a first half goal - or two - would have been handy.
