Regardless of each way shape.......Saturdays going to be interesting!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to see the face of the manager of my local Corals when he has to lay me a bet !

How long will it last? 3 months? At least turnover figures will be up
Registry Offices will be working overtime - more husbands needed!

If I can get £5k a time on then I can divorce a few Smiley

How do you actually think it'll work though?

I'm assuming that if you ask for £1,000 @, say, 11/8, they'll offer you £200 at that price. & 11/10 the balance, or something along those lines?

If they are genuinely going to offer "any bet, any sum" in the Shops on those televised races, then they are certainly laying themselves open to a mini-coup.

OK lads, synchronise watches, we'll all strike the same bet in 15 different shops at 9.47am.....

I suspect they just wont be top price about anything......and making it win only means increased risk.  I am not sure I think it is that sensible for them to do but I genuinely hope they get the business they deserve from it.

Guess so.

It's a strange thing tough, & completely alien to "serious" punters, but the vast majority of "fun" punters don't worry too much about prices or value. They support Man U, or Frankie Dettori, or whoever, & want to bet them accordingly. The price, to them, is not relevant.

FWIW, I punted that way for 30 years. Marky probs still does.....

It's the basis upon which Bookmakers, especially Online, make such good margins.

I do make sure that I use Oddschecker now, so that I can get the best bad price Wink

I can confirm Marky is far shrewder than many regs on here.

On the face of it I thought this looked good, but essentially its a treble, putting the individual prices in Oddschecker Hills actually are top price but at 2.14!!!! So they have nicked the .14 as you cannot put these on as a treble if typed individually.

Anyone got a view on Bolton at Millwall on Friday night.

Lennon seems to have them well organised conceding only 2 goals in last 6 games.

They have lost a couple of young forwards to injury though.

Thought 27/10 might be a bit of value against an inconsistent Millwall?

I'd appreciate any thoughts.

i like this

looking at the form tables on http://www.soccerstats.com/formtable.asp?league=england2

last six games (lennon appointment on) Bolton are in play off form

i watched them on tv once, away at norwich i think. short of a goalscorer (shipped off beckford quickly, then clayton was injured) and width, but lennon has them organised and difficult to beat.

Millwall should be beatable by an improving side?

£20 on then?

Any thoughts on BFSB promo on the darts?

"Double your money back as a free bet if the winning checkout is 100+"

It's on losing correct score market bets to a max £25

Probably best on long odds on shot matches like MVG 1/20 v Cullen 12/1

MVG to win 3-0 1.53 (1.62 on exchange less comms)

Some t and c's and one is that you cannot place a lay bet on the exchange on the same match (not your own account anyway ;-) )

I haven't been able to find out if many matches finish on +100 checkouts as I suppose to work out how often this would happen on avg. is important. It just feels like it can be far off being value because of the "double your stake back bit"

Any thoughts?

Balotelli gets a one game ban for his Super Mario post. Don't suppose that triggers the "sent off" bet..?

Just in case the bookies tried to be smart and defined it as a suspension, in order so that they don't have to pay if the red is rescinded.

for this weekend

"There’s some great Premier League action coming up and we’ve got TWO In-Play bet offers to add to the excitement. The first offer is on the game between Liverpool and Arsenal on Sunday 21st December, while the second offer is for the Stoke v Chelsea match on Monday 22nd December.

Offer One: Place a pre-match bet on the Liverpool v Arsenal game and we'll give you a risk free In-Play bet to the same stake on THAT match.

Offer Two: Place a pre-match bet on the Stoke v Chelsea game and we'll give you a risk free In-Play bet to the same stake on THAT match.

Please be aware that these offers work independently of each other and should be treated separately.

To qualify for your risk free In-Play bet, simply place a bet before kick-off, then once the game starts place another bet on any In-Play market. If your FIRST In-Play bet loses we will refund this stake, up to the same value as your largest pre-match bet (max £50).

As always, there’ll be plenty to choose from with over 70 In-Play markets available throughout the games including Next Goal, Match Goals, Total Corners, Half-Time Result, Full-Time Result and much more.

With an extensive range of pre-match and In-Play markets and fantastic In-Play bet offers, bet365 is the number one place for all your Soccer betting.

Enjoy the action!
The bet365 Team "

engy asked, i think, how best to do these, and i wasn't around to give my answer at the right time last weeked

i think there are three potential types of approaches (please correct me if i am wrong)

(not recommendations, just indicative)

using prices for liverpool-arsenal bet365

1. very conservative

initial £50 bet over 0.5 goals 1/20 returns £52.50

in play bet any correct score/first goalscorer where the price matches/beats betfair

2. medium risk

initial £50 bet team to win of your choice

in play £50 the same bet

effectively doubles the win odds of the team of your choice

eg Arsenal 6/4 twice gives you Arsenal to win at 3/1

3. "active selection"

initial £50 bet as you wish eg Arsenal to win 6/4

in play £50 bet any correct score etc where the price matches/beats betfair

bet365 will duck competitive prices on most correct scores/goalscorers and for restricted accounts you probably won't get the full £50 on anything outside teams to win

not sure if someone like doobs wants to add anything

FWIW (not a lot) I tend to do team to win in advance-team to win in play to double my effective odds

cheers tighty gives a few options for these offers as they do them quite often

Don't do 2) it is pissing away the value in the free bet.

The first bet doesn't really matter, do what you like.  With that bet it is find to back the home win or the 1/20 shot or a proper gamble.  It isn't going to affect the value of the offer.

The 2nd should always be a decent price.

Say the 2nd bet is evens and that is exactly the right price.  You get a 50% chance of making £50.  So you have converted your free "£50" in to £25.

If your 2nd bet is 7/1 and that is the right price, you have a 12.5% chance of winning £350.  Now your free "£50" is worth £42.

Where you need to look is good value first goalscorers, correct scores or my usual total correct number of corners.  Try and find something that is a decent price and near Betfair.

I really can't believe it will work like that. They have stated they will lay to lose £5k, surely they mean at the advertised price.
To say we'll take £200 at 11/8 and the rest at 11/10 would be a total joke.
I just think their prices won't be that great on the races.

So last night MVG won 3-1 and the winning checkout was 84 so no free bet if anyone done it.
