"....quite a big day today

- a must win for the Eagles at the Redskins tonight in the NFL....."

Why are they playing on a Saturday, Rich? I noted there was a game last night, too?

I thought (Thanksgiving etc apart) they only played Sunday & Thursday?

two games tonight

"After a one year break, Saturday football is back in the NFL. When the league announced CBS as its new Thursday night broadcast partner for 2014, it also announced that there will be two Saturday games played next season.

Both Saturday games will be played as part of a Week 16 doubleheader on Dec. 20, an NFL Spokesman confirmed.

There hasn't been a Saturday regular season game in the NFL since December 2012 when Calvin Johnson tallied 225-receiving yards against Atlanta to break Jerry Rice's single-season receiving record that had stood since 1995. Despite the huge game from Johnson, the Lions lost to the Falcons 31-18.

The 2013 season marked the first since the 1970 merger that there was no Saturday game played during the regular season. "

Ahh, gotcha, TV money etc.

Shame it is not televised here.

I really do need to address this senility problem.

Thanks, that'll make for some decent viewing on Saturday night TV for a nice change. Will there be a vote for the winner?

Don't think we can get Flack beaten Tal?

Spoken to two people about SCD, one sayed Ms Flack has a bit of arrogance about her, the other sayed there's something about her that doesn't quite ring true, but couldn't put their finger on it.

Perhaps seems over simple, but these are the ones that want taking on imo. Everyone assumes they're gonna crush but, when it comes to the old dears picking up the phone and voting, they'll go for the nice one with short hair.

Anyhoo, bookmaking giant Coral are offering money back on any non-runners in CBB (double check when placing bet please). They're 8-1 about Ronan. Can't believe he'll go in there but this looks an easy trade/money-back job.

If he goes in there he's never an 8-1 shot. Suggest we flick as much as 'we'll lay anything on channel 4 to lose five large', are prepared to take.

I've had this view all series but it's not done me much good Cheesy

I really hope this is the weekend that it happens but unless the judges change their approach and point out her mistakes, the public will still believe she's the best dancer.

I'd be delighted if Frankie or Simon won, who I consider to be the best all-round guys.

I'm orf to White Hart Pain shortly. Keep my train journey interesting, please.

I don't have anything to recommend for Fred today in the big event. There's not a lot of value that I can find, as the jolly doesn't really look like getting beaten.

I've personally had some modest positions on the two boys to win (more on Simon than Mark). I'd contemplate a bet on Frankie to finish fourth at 10/1 (shouty red man), given her showdance, which will be a sort of American Smooth, might not excite as much as the boys' numbers. It's asking a lot. Maybe 9% isn't too bad. She's actually who I want to win, so that's a bit weird Cheesy

Sit back and enjoy unless Fred decides he has to have a bet.

There was me thinking this is Villa v Man U, Spurs v Burnley, the big race at Ascot, the Darts........

not that you'll get much on but 8/11 Simon top man and 4/5 Wright to finish 4th are both too high

i was telling (hark at me) tal yesterday that simon's showdance is a four tens job

i couldn't see caroline getting beat. admittedly on small sample sizes she is polling 60-70% on "who do you want to win" polls this week - other wise i would be backing simon - he has the best pro for show-stopper choreography and he's definitely on a "journey" which the voters like

Ronan

coral "Stakes returned on any quoted celebrity who doesn't enter the house. Others may be added."

i was "bet sent to trader for review" and offered a fiver, which i declined

suppose i could go to a shop and get £600 on

And me. My fiver each way went to the trader too. Buncha trolls.

Seems like it was "Account Review Day" at Corals yesterday, with Fred, rfqqggdss & even Marky all getting the dreaded "Dear John" letter.

I'm rather hoping that sonour finds a nice Corals price today, & sends all the husbands out, fully wedged up, so we see how that other thing pans out.

There's a thing with Betfred where everyone gets a free bet. I've just logged in and got a £9 free bet.  Not bad considering I've hardly ever bet with them.

Worth checking out the account.

Edit: in the t&c's it says that it's open to those that received an email or sms.  I don't think I've had either, just saw it on FB and logged in and saw it, I guess not everyone will have it.

In the first at Ascot  there is a fav that might be worth taking on and a reasonable e/w shape to the race. If you take the view that Tourard Man's narrow margin of victory over out of form Jonjo's  Mackerye End lto is not the strongest form - might be worth opposing with either or both of Wizards Bridge or Rascal (Tizzard in good form and Skelton we now know is favoured by Neil)
Not suggesting he approves the bet, but would love to hear his (or anyone else's) opinion if he is reading. Doubt we lose much by waiting a while just in case of non-runner.

A cough of agreement. It comes to something on a lovely sporting day such as today when SDC is considered the highlight.

Im a dinosaur, obv......

On another note, I have to laugh at Betfred. I just went to have a small bet on an old friend at Haydock and was offered a pathetic £2.10.

I then rang up using my old Tote credit account/which is now Betfred and was given £100 ew, as requested.

WTF?!

Morning Mr T.

You enquired about my premier league football betting earlier in the week and today the bet I like most is Everton to beat Southampton at 2-1. I certainly don't know anything the bookies don't, but then I don't think I do on any of my other bets. In my defence however I doubt that the bookies peruse the Indian cricket forums in their research ! I can't help think that the bookies are being somewhat remiss though. Once you wade through the guff he spouts on the Indian version of SCD, Mahindra from Pashwan really does give some cracking cricket info - go Vijay !

Frankie is on the march, Flackie having a driff, now 6-4, 4-5 respectivelah.
The British public won't be swayed by judges in these spots imo Tal, they'll vote for the nice girl, especially this time of year. Ho ho ho.

Just rang Coralolol about the Ronan bet. Got through to Serge from Beverley Hills Cop, who sayed it isn't NRNB after checking with a supervisor and a loltrader. Looks like another of Nicola's newspaper creations. Still, she binked a front page with that Queeny nonsense, so job done.

Another novelty market. Are we not just missing an obvious spot with the hilarious Mrs Browns Boys for top TV show? It crushed on Boxing Day two years ago, was a surprise winner on Xmas Day last year and still seems to be on the up as far as the nation's comedy loving public are concerned. 5-4 could be mahoosive?
