Superbowl bet
As Tighty has mentioned previously, if New England win the toin coss, they like to defer (ie receive the ball at the start of the 2nd half). This means that they will kick off. Seattle are much more likely to choose to receive the kick off if they win the toin coss. Therefore odds are heavier for New England to kick off the game.
Red shouty man currenty has both teams at 10/11.
IMO This should be a max bet on New England to kickoff.
We have us a winner. I think. No. As expected, Seattle defer, which means THEY kick off. Whoever won the toss was very likely to kick off. |

given the fact only ladbrokes priced up the kick off i assume most firms had the same thought process as us otherwise they would have priced it up as a flip surely? why else wouldn't they offer such a simple coin flip at 10/11 or 5/6 each?

Ladbrokes priced up the coin toss (10/11 each) as well as the kick off (10/11 each). |

what would be the realistic price for a kicker to miss any given pt after touchdown in the NFL? 1/50, 1/100, 1/1000? Longer?
edit: looked it up. seems like 1/50 is close.
