Seriously for a moment, not everyone enjoys the eclectic mix, the diversity & the knockabout stuff, I get that.

This is not intended to come across as rude, but if anyone fancies a more serious version of Fred, please go ahead. It might just be what some would prefer. I won't be involved as such, but I'd deffo not anti-rail it, not at all.

This thread you you Tony might be a little bit of fun, but for many individuals on thread, who are regulars, this thread has a huge impact on their life. Doobs, Argueboy, etc.

I had to try and read between the lines to see if any bets had been suggested, instead it was top gear stuff about whether or not Clarkson has or hasn't got a percentage and what it means. There is a thread!

Hardly any bets are placed now compared to the old days.  All the accounts are gone.

agree with you on a lot of stuff but this is incorrect

224 bets on the spreadsheet currently on the month to date

after our fallow spell, never been busier

about 8-10 clean or mostly clean accounts

it is quieter for actual placing of bets this week in isolation

a major reason for that? International week, always has an impact.

the top bets on oddschecker today? 2 of the top 3 were WWE!

Nearly put Brock Lensar up at 11/10 this morning actually for Wrestlemania.  Didn't fancy being shouted down though.  I meant more total bet volume not number of bets.  Turnover must be down from a year ago maybe not total number of bets.

average bet size is reasonably constant at £30 or so

i do agree that if we tried to up that a lot (and that is only a function of who suggests what) we might struggle to do so

it hadn't occurred to me until the last hour that the thread might not be serious enough...one of the fun things is that you wake up in the morning and have no idea where the conversation goes, what will be suggested etc

for every bird of the year bet there can be some great betting theory and research on the thread too..

something for everyone (even if somethings don't appeal to some people, which is inevitable)

Bird of the year and Betting theory both super-serious topics though. Don't get it?

It has to remain fun Aaron, that the whole subtext.

Seriously, if someone wants a serious Betting Thread, go ahead, I think that'd be great.

Me, I'm here for fun, all the way to the buffers. The thought (for me) of taking it seriously makes me shudder. I'd quit betting instantly if there were no bants.

When Keefy started it, I was really worried that I'd become obsessed with punting again, after managing to quit 10 years earlier. I've loved every minute, (or most, lol), but I could never have a bet again in my life & it'd not bother me one iota.

Just don't even THINK about WWE shit, right?

I'm serious, you don't wanna see me cross. I'm a serious piece of kit when I get angry. Ask the bloke in the Coffee Shop, after the Costa machine broke down this morning.  Boy of boy, I gave him some. I did go back later & apologise, though. Had to, was gagging for a Costa.

Think he was on ESPN earlier, saying he was with WWE.

To help the clean accounts issue, for the long term stuff, that doesnt require lightning reflexes, I am happy to get on for Fred where I can help.
pm me if needed. I am busy most days so can sort in evenings.

Quite like the look of the overs for Marshawn Lynch tonight.
Currentky over 88.5 with Bill Hill.
If Seattle are going to win the Superbowl, then they are going to have to run the ball successfully. Lynch is the major factor in this. As long as Seattle can keep it close, then they will stick with the running game, and try to tire out New Englands Defence.  They managed this very well against Green Bay in the Championship game. Lynch rushed for  112 yards in the 2nd hallf of that game.

Recommend Marshaw Lynch over 88.5 yards  £50 @ 10/11 with Bill Hill

Hello, err, Sharon..........Wink

Well hello Tony!!! xx
