Lancashire are collapsing. They were 130-0 and now 147-4.

Brown still in on 67*. We'd have had a decent sweat vs Ashwell Prince if he'd played early season.

Lisicki came from a set and a break down to reach round 3

she has an opportunity in her quarter, with Halep the number 3 seed out

Kerber is her main challenger there, and potentially Kvitova to get past later on as well

but so far so good

Ms Lisicki progressed to round 3 with a 6-2, 5-7, 1-6 win over Christina McHale.
It was a very poor start by Lisicki but she was playing pretty well by the end.

She may struggle against Timea Bacsinszky in the next round but should have an easier 4th round if she survives that.
I really can't see her beating Angelique Kerber if they meet in the Quarter-finals (Kerber has a 6-0 record against her) so we probably need to look at ways of recovering our money on our bet on Lisicki to win the tournament.

no bets completed yesterday

Djokovic another straight sets win to reach Wimbledon 3rd round

Lisicki is on centre first today

Tsonga plays Vinolas in late afternoon

--

in cricket Middlesex secured their win against Hampshire to move back into a top three position behind Yorkshire (unbeaten this season with a game in hand, despite numerous england calls)

warwickshire hit over 600 to secure a draw against Sussex (record sixth wicket stand between Evans and Ambrose) and are 4th

Sussex's 601 is 10th highest 1st inns f-c total to be overhauled by team batting 2nd, and 5th highest in Championship.

the table:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-one/table

We have Middlesex each way at 14-1 paying three places and we have chances

in division two Lancashire are fighting for a result against Northants, needing 394 on the last day for an improbable win. With Surrey thrashing Gloucs earlier in the week the top of the table has closed up

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-two/table

we have Lancs at 7/2

i don't know if you've heard, but it was a record july temperature yesterday. Take that, August

hi Tighty

Watch an absolute waste of 4 days that Sussex game was. Must have been an awful track to bowl as not only did Sussex get 300 more than they are usually capable of, they only lost 6 wickets, as did the oppo.
Feel for the bowlers toiling on that track in the heat

I'm not convinced, but Tiger has had 7 birdies in the first round and is currently T8 on -4.

As this thread is all about value, at 25/30-1 he is probably worth chancing a throwaway £10ew.

Having had a good start, it bucks the recent trend, and if its not the start of something good, there probably won't be a case for him again, certainly not at this sort of price.

British GP this weekend!!

Here are my bet suggestions:

To reach Q3: Max Verstappen @ 6/5 with Fembrokes. Above EVS, why?! Suggest £15.

That's all I can see now, apart from, the Force India bets. Need to take advantage while (apparently?) the bookies have not factored in that they have a new car.

Points Finish: Sergio Perez @ EVS with Victor's betting shop. Suggest £50. FAR too high. ... SEE BELOW!**

Group C: Nico Hulkenberg @ 10/3 with Hills. Bit wary of this one, depending on how the Red Bull's perform (their performances seem quite erratic this season), but in my opinion, we need to take advantage of these prices while they last. Suggest £30.

**Group D: Sergio Perez @ 2/1 with Hills. Was going to suggest the points bet, but it is only EVS. I would say this group bet is both more likely, and has a better price. Suggest £100. We won't get this spot again if Force India perform as I expect them to this weekend. Hopefully Sergio doesn't retire!!

love the force india trades so far Peter but isn't the points bet a safer option than beating a red bull and both toro rossos for a big bet?  Can't see how that is more likely than a points finish. If he has the pace to beat these guys then surely he finishes top 10 if no retirement?  To put it another way can you see a scenario where he wins the group but also finishes 11th?

I thought this through quite a lot.

I think it's very likely that Sergio could beat both Toro Rosso's and still be outside the points. Same goes for Kvyat, but to a lesser extent. When you throw into the mix that the Red Bull's and Toro Rosso's are having frequent reliability issues with their engine, plus the price difference between the bets, EVS compared to 2/1. I think this is the better option.

I really like the Hulk price in his group.

Yeah, it's pretty good. The one concern would be if Red Bull have a good race and Ricciardo does well - I guess we won't know for sure until Sunday pre-evening!

I think I would back Jack to go after he nearly went last week. From what I remember, they did say at one point there was 1% in the vote between him & Simon, this included Harry being in the vote. He's 5/2.
