Anyone on here unfamiliar with the term "chutspa" pronounced hootspa?
Just asking for a friend who was surprised at a couple of worldly-wise early middle-aged blokes not having ever heard of the word.

More commonly spelt "Chutzpah". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChutzpahA common expression and I'm surprised that "a couple of worldly-wise early middle-aged blokes" aren't familiar with it. However, lots of things surprise me although as I get older I tend to be less shocked at what people don't know. |

It's Hebrew isn't it? Yes, in a way. I consider it to be more of a Yiddish word adopted into what I thought was common vernacular especially in and around most large cities. I consider it to mean front or cheek. |
