Thinking aloud can Pavlyuchenkova really still be 100-1 for the women's title?  Always been talented but mentally questionable.  Just absolutely destroyed Bacsinzsky.

Mere is good on the WTA so interested in this views.  Apologies if odds checker is out of date

It does seem big initially but her next three (potential) opponents would be:

Coco Vandeweghe
Serena Williams
Agnieska Radwanska

She has a losing record against all of them and then would have to beat whoever comes out of the bottom half of the draw in the final.

She's nearly 3/1 against Coco which seems quite big but if they are pricing her like that then 100/1 doesn't seem that big at all. It might be more cost effective to bet her individual matches. Obviously there's no guarantee that everyone else makes it through to their designated seeding spots but Serena and Agnieska have looked comfortable so far.
The draw is just particularly top-heavy at the moment.

Definitely an interesting one.
Basically, I don't really know and will have to think some more. Smiley

I hope you guys are watching the Formula E right now, this is the most bizarre end to a championship ever.

Both Buemi & di Grassi have intentionally made four pit stops each ..

Why did they do that, Peter?

PS - well done on the F1 bets today.

PPS - Was really pleased to see Button finish 6th, but even that was eclipsed by Wehrlein finishing 10th. Presumably, that would be a career high for both Wehrlein, & MRT, including all the previous "Manor" incarnations?

Blimey. What. A. Race.

Hands down one of the most bizarre races I have ever watched.

di Grassi smashed into the back of Buemi on the opening lap, taking both out of contention for a top ten finish. Perhaps it was on purpose, who knows. di Grassi is in the stewards room now, and it's worth noting he would have won the title if both did not finish.

Both drivers managed to struggle back to the pits, and jump in their second cars. A top ten finish was not possible for either being so far back, so both were trying to grab the two points for fastest lap. di Grassi had it first, then Buemi went out to try. di Grassi then pulled out of the pits again, in front of Buemi, and was driving intentionally slow to block Buemi from setting a lap. Eventually, Buemi set the fastest lap and won the title.

di Grassi and Buemi both made six pit stops each haha - utter madness.

P.S. Thank you.

P.P.S Not quite. Jules Bianchi scored two points for Marussia with a 9th place at Monaco in 2014. First points in F1 for Wehrlein though.

Incredible scenes Peter, what a sweat that Buemi championship bet was. Many thanks for an enjoyable winner. Your confidence was well placed.

Should have been way more comfortable. Buemi had a very poor season, despite taking the title.

I like the idea of a point for the fastest lap, but the notion of the top two in the championship, fifteen laps beyond the leaders of the race, are trying to store enough energy to get the fastest lap, in order that they can get the crucial point flies somewhat in the face of the spirit of racing.

It'd be like the top two in the Premier League playing different teams on the last game of the season and trying to win it on fair play league points.

Well, it's one scenario when you award fastest lap points. Albeit, a scenario we've never seen before, and no-one has ever really considered that this could happen.

Thanks Peter, that makes sense now, or more correctly, makes no sense at all. I would hope the FIA or whoever have a look at the scoring system to stop all that farcical manipulation.

You put up Buemi as World Champ, too, I believe? - if so, nice one, well done.

Well, it made for an extremely exciting race. It was utterly bonkers, but I see no problem with it. If anything, points for fastest lap (and pole position) will come to F1 soon.

I did, I had £333.33 on at 6/4 personally. The thread had less on, I believe TFT was limited.

Is there anything punting-related more irritating than the Choral site?

Punted a tenner on the 'J'adore le score' promotion to get a free tenner in-play. The token is credited but unable to be selected on the betslip. There software is the absolute pits.

Every single time i visit the desktop site i get shown an error message and the page redirects, seemingly to itself. Plus the betslip is very erratic and often just forgets what you've added. Pretty terrible.

Did anyone who backed the sixes in the Jamaica v St Kitts game yesterday watch the game? I noticed Andre Russell batted for Jamaica but didn't bowl? Did the commentators give a reason for him not bowling? just if he's carrying an injury and is going to be a specialist batsman there will be value in Jamaica top bowler market / going under on his performance points. Tried googling it but no joy.

I can't believe Germany vs France is priced up as a coin flip, not having that. Even with the players Germany are missing they're definite favourites to win this game, they are much better than this France team, wouldn't surprise me if Germany destroy them.

Germany team doesn't look great to me. Poor striking options, central midfield doesn't look that powerful, especially with Khedira out. France have a lot of pace and power and payet to unlock the big teams.

Pavlyuchenkova is now best priced 81/1 with the bookies and that is only with Betfair Sportsbook.
However she is available at 140 on Betfair Exchange and you will almost certainly get matched at a higher price.

The Betfair market is implying only five runners in Saturday's Eclipse and all the firms are still 1/5th three places.

I've given Hawkbill the kiss of death but even I can't have a bad bet here can I?

Recommend Fred gets on each-way on anything down to Western Hymn that's at or below the exchange price. I've only burdened Hawkbill for that reason and because he's a young horse on the up, proven on soft.

A belated thanks (was away camping) Backed Hawksbill & came back to a nice balance on my Coral Acc.  thumbs up

Went on to check of my free bets for Giroud's goals was up (not yet) and there's an apology in the Help section for the delaying in J'Adore le Score credits.

Cheers. Glad you got on. And I hope the downpours that swept across Sandown and helped his chances didn't reach your tent.  Wink
