Damn Fernando and his amazing pace. Credit where it's due though, awesome performance to secure a P7 for McLaren.

I made a loss today, mainly because of the spread bet. I believe the thread made a profit though? Smiley

Would love to say I backed him for p7, but unfortunately backed him for p6.  Think Verstappen could have done a better job on chopping off Kimi's nose.

You backed Fernando for P6? That's a rather brave bet - almost came off for you though! I bet you were cheering when you saw Kimi's carbon fibre.

I was watching the golf on sky last night as is my wont but with a special sprinkling of nostalgia as it's The Canadian Open this week and it's being held at the excellent Glen Abbey GC which is in Oakville Ontario, a short drive from Toronto where I lived for five years or so during the mid-1970's.

Jim Nantz was on comms last night and mentioned a player being "chagrined" pronounced shaa-grinned at a particular outcome which slightly offended my ears -  perhaps they are too sensitive.

Tal will know.

I did indeed play Glen Abbey a couple of times during my sojourn in Canada with none other than my old mate Cliff Thorburn who is a fellow grinder and a very decent golfer.

Ha, obviosly.  Was thinking somebody must have a puncture here.  Can't win them all.  Kimi seemed to have summoned more enthusiasm for racing than he has shown the rest of this season.

Could have so easily been a puncture - but Kimi hit the rear crash structure of Max, rather than the tyre.

Fun fact, Fernando finished 7th in all five sessions this weekend. Not sure that has ever happened before.

Didn't watch the darts final but MVG averaged 103 and had a 67% check out rate which is insane over a match that long.  Don't think we did a lot wrong backing Taylor at 9/4 ( if you got involved fred didn't) impossible to beat anyone with that check out % over a length of match that long.  He had 7 breaks of throw as well which is incredible against someone averaging over a ton.

Man city are now 11/4 to win the EPL.  what price would you be looking for before you get stuck into them?  11/4 looks a big price to me.  They were 11/10 when the market opened.  Don't see too many of the rivals changing their squads too much to justify such a drift.

Two bets with firms we can get on with on the above watered down masters event.

Djok 4/6 bald £240 win

Cilic £50 ew at 28/1 victor

Tough to disagree with anything posted here about Cilic.  Pretty solid write up.  Djok should't be 4/6 for this event given the field.  He went off 4/5 to win Wimbledon with all the faces playing.

Taylor lost the plot again, like he did in the PL final. He was playing up to to the crowd and trying to wind MvG up. He's realised he can't beat him, MvG too good over the long format.
