Jack Wilshere to sign before 3 September
To Stay at Arsenal (Does not include returning on loan following a permanent deal elsewhere) 14/1
Won't they just have to pay up on this?

5 match ODI series between England and Pakistan starts on Wednesday. Any reason why we shouldn't be backing Woakes top England wicket taker at 4's?
Willey is injured. Wood will likely be rotated and eased back into the side. Stokes may start the series as a specialist batsman. Pakistani batsman very adept at playing spin, so Rashid and Ali may find it tough going.
Woakes in the form of his life in red ball cricket, expect him to take that into white ball cricket also. Wouldn't have thought he'd be rested at any point yet? Plunkett has a habit of picking up wickets also, so possible saver on him. Both 4/1 jtf's.
Thoughts?

Good work Nelly. We are not there yet, but are on pole.
Fingers crossed.

Calling The Secret Squirrel.
There aren't many interesting games at the US open today. However we do have Djokovic back playing. We know about his injury concerns and I think the best way to get with it today is to back Vesely to win a set. I am not going to read anything into their previous meeting, which Vesely won earlier this season on clay. My basis for backing him to win a set is Djokovic's stats for his 1st round match. Serving at 90mph, and losing a set to a player who has been injured for much of the last year is not an indication of a player in form. Janowicz had several break opportunities and did his chances no good by serving 10 double faults.
Suggest £20 Vesely to win a set @ 9/5 with LADBROKES

Nicholas Mahut was 2 sets up when Kohlschreiber retired. Most firms will pay him out as the winner as 1 set was completed.
Thanks once again for the tip, Hector. Got completely buried today, this was my only hope but alas, billy and everyday seem to be the only firms to void this after he was a clear winner 2 sets up leading the third.
Perhaps that is a reason they are responsible for some of the better prices?
BMU voided it too

If need be, I'll pay my local Laddies a visit Rich. Won't be until around 2pm though, so whether the price will still be there remains to be seen.
I had a full recce of the area yesterday, incidentally, to see what other Firms had local shops within walking distance. There were 3 Ladbrokes, & that's it, no others at all.

Get three times as much on their ricks! Hat, beard and glasses in the first, mix and match as you proceed. You've struck gold, Tikay.

Ha. It is such a palaver though, you have to go to the counter & ask the man to price the bet. When I asked about the cricket bet last week he said "what is an ODI?".
Asking for a player to win a set in a tennis match is gonna be quite a challenge I fancy.
Anyway, if the bet is not on by then, & the price holds, I'll give it a go this afternoon.
Fortunately, the bloke last week was not as miserable as bookiebasher.

Blimey, where you learn those words Jim? Never had you in my mind as educated.
Had to look them up. We might have a few of those here.

Cheeky sod. Got a grade A A level in Drama and theatre arts I will have you know.
Just don't ask about the A level maths. Never could get the hang of the pure maths side.

Bloody ridiculous subject.
As for "ultracrepidarian" I use that word quite often in the pub next to my office.
Probably because of the amount of people in there who have the second word , dunning kruger
I only mix with the best.

hector,
Had a walk up to Ladbrokes.
The best they would offer in the shop was 13/8, which is a good way south of 9/5.
Oddschecker now show that as Laddies price, too, with only PP offering better at 7/4.
So it's up to you, do we want us to take 13/8?
