Alistair Brownlee now just 8/1 to win Sports Personality of the Year. Was 80/1 this morning.

Become quite a competitive ehat really

Alastair Brownlee now generally around 5/1, even 7/2 in one spot.

Be the best thing ever if he won SPOTY. It's entirely possible, too.  No disrespect to Mr Murrray or Mo, but Alastair would be something of a game changer.

Could you imagine if he'd just run past his brother and finished ahead of him?

It was lovely, but it wasn't Derek Redmond and his dad.

I'm a bit puzzled about the whole adulation Brownlee is getting for this gesture to be honest.

Wouldn't virtually everyone stop and help their brother in that spot?

If he'd done it for a competitor from another country, for sure, yes, give him all the fair play awards available.

But helping your brother out who is obvious distress, not so much IMO.

QOS manager sends out a defensive team against a Rangers team with a poor defence. Insanity as they invited Rangers to attack. Good bets wasted by a cowardly approach I'm afraid.

He did sacrifice winning the world championship to help him though having completed 9/10ths of a triathlon.

I'm not sure I would carry you for 500M in the same situation..

Don't think Ali was in contention for the title. Jonny needed the win to win it.

I know you love me like a grandson Ralph, but we aren't actually related.

I'm pretty sure 90%+ of people would come to the aid of their brother/sister/father/mother/son/daughter.

Ha, stop that Mr H. It's more - a lot more - than last weekend's Mexican affair. For many, they were the highlight of a great Olympics. Genuinely nice kids, too.

These two right up there with Seb Coe and Richard Littlejohn* as great british heroes.

* loved that by the way.

Can Leicester really be 5.4 shots against Man U? You'd think it was Leicester who'd just had 3 straight defeats from those odds!

5.5 now. Seems far too high to me.

Man U have lost 2 league games? One was against Man City.  They should be priced as the better team right now.  I'd probably have them odds on too, but not 3/4 or whatever they are.

I do think Leicester are probably too big, but don't feel as strongly as I did some times last season.
