Sky's Saturday lunchtime match B'mouth v Spurs.
Bournemouth buoyant after a hull of a game last week, so if someone fancies a couple of little fun bets whilst in the Dog and Duck watching this match, can I suggest Paddy has a bit of value and top prices for first goalscorers for B'mouth.
Junior Stanislas scored 2 last week (1 pen), 3 in total for the season and joint top scorer so far.
Interestingly after being bought down in the area Callum Wilson grabbed the ball, but in fact Junior took the penalty ,so I think we can assume he is now the nominated penalty taker.
11/1 e/w first 5 1/3 odds
Steve Cook scored last week (comes up for corners/set pieces, good with his feet as well as headers!.)Scored 4 goals last season..and was joint 3rd top scorer for the season ;-)
40/1 e/w first 5 1/3 odds
Callum Wilson is still penalty taker I believe. It was all a misunderstanding as far as I know.
Stanislas was passed the ball and Wilson 'took one for the team' by not arguing with him as we've seen some unseemly arguments regarding penalties, which were then missed. It was 2-1 at the time, so it was an important penalty.

Following on from that, any reason why Huddersfield are as high as 7/4 with Victors to beat Derby? Huddersfield had a decent start to the season and are currently in 4th, whereas Derby have had a pretty slow start by their standards, sitting in 20th as it stands.
Can help fred get on if wanted. I've not been able to follow the championship much this season but on the face of it this seems a pretty decent bet, thought Huddersfield would be closer to odds on.
Various factors. New gaffer for Derby. Underperformed so far results wise based on stats. Huddersfield probably the opposite to a certain degree. Home advantage isn't as important in the championship than the EPL for example. No view on the price tbh but these are probably the factors causing it which is what you asked. No idea on team news etc either way which could easily be a factor.
Mr Baldock, on the face of it I can see why it stands out for you - it's the biggest price Huddersfield have been at home this season. The previous biggest price was when they played Wednesday at the weekend and were about 2.65. But like Arb no idea on news etc.
I watched Huddersfield play Wednesday at the weekend. They look a very decent team, comfortable on the ball, probably benefiting from using "unknown" (in English football terms) players brought in from Germany by their coach who seems to be doing a cracking job. The lad Mooy on loan from Man City seems to be at the heart of all they do.
Wednesday stopped them playing very effectively, against a less effective defensive display Huddersfield could have had 2-3 goals.
I think 7/4 looks attractive even though Derby have a new manager and a very good squad on paper.

Charlie Williams took their pens last season. Was that only because Wilson was crocked?

Yes, Wilson took pens last year until he was injured.
A link to Wilsons comments on the Stanislas penalty;
http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/14805463.AFC_Bournemouth__Wilson_keeping_feet_on_the_floor_after_Cherries_run_riot/?ref=rss
“I’d won the penalty and as a striker, naturally, not having scored, I wanted it,” he said.
“The ball was thrown over my head and one of their players gave it to Junior before I got a chance to get over there. So I wasn't going to put him off, I let him take it. He assisted me last time (against Watford), so he can have it this week!"

He is an incredible player, I was waxing lyrical about him pre-season after watching him closely in the A-League last year. Yes, obviously the A-League is a shit league but that wasn't his fault and he was the best player by a million miles and is the first name on the Australian team sheet. Was amazed he went to Huddersfield. Best passer and crosser of a ball to have ever graced the Championship (until someone comes up with an example of when David Beckham was on loan at Gillingham) imo.

Not a dig but never bet ew goalscorers in anything other than a huge one sided mis match where the goal quote for the game is in the 4 or 5 goal range. Also at Paddy only the first 5 goals count as well. You can get greater than 4/1 and 14/1 these to score at any time whereas you are taking 11/3 and 13/1 here and if they score 6th in the game you lose as well.

ah interesting...cheers arb
constructive criticism, maybe Tighty is getting through
I was thinking the other day of how to butt in to try and stop WWIII but then stopped and kept out of it.
Today i thought again after a member of staff in work came to me with a good idea but didn't quite set about things in the right way and it reminded me of this thread. I didn't berate the member of staff because i want them to come up with good ideas, but the next time they came up with a good idea i wanted to get the most "value" out of them and for my company. When i responded to the good idea I tried to constructively critise them, there are loads of corporate bulshit ways to do this and im sure 99% of the population are aware of them. But its a fact that if people are happy and your nice to them you are going to get more out of them long term than if they think your a nob and they leave the company.
A larger proportion of posters here i assume are long time self employed, not had to work for anyone or have anyone work for them for a long long time (Some maybe even never!). I wonder if this has factored into the way some people speak to each other.
On this forum (this thread especially) people just speak there mind and shout and shout until people give up listening. Whereas in the "real world" nobody would dream of that. People can say its a forum i can do what i want and if i dont want to post ill take my ball and go home. But surely surely it would be a better place (and more profitable place) if we all kept it amicable.
If someone has a comment on a bet that has been placed or not, MAKE IT! There may be someone that has not yet backed it, as Tikay has said 100 times it does not matter necessarily if the thread has got on or not there are plenty of people following the thread that may benefit from the advice but just think how you are phrasing the advice. Like Arb has done above, not criticising the idea of the bet but suggesting a better value way in which to place the bet. Perfect (for once
).
I think many watchers would agree that Hector's theory is an autobet, he has a good "nose" for a winner. He may just sometimes not pick the best "value" which is fine, elders can help and guide Hector, Tikay and other posters in the right direction, is that not the point of the thread in the first place?
...retreats to the back of the room again.

It is also pretty standard in the corporate world if someone asks you a reasonable question that you tend to answer it for the good of the bigger picture? It works both ways right?

Man U v Fenerbache.
I think United are still being priced up wrong in the overs/unders market.
The last Europe League game was incredibly dull, it is likely to be a whole different 11 from Monday and a whole different 11 to Sunday BUT it is still the same manager.
Mourinho i think is still going to set up to be happy with 1-0.
I would suggest £15 at Under 2.5 at 9/10 or better.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/europa-league/man-utd-v-fenerbahce/total-goals-over-under
The other interesting thought i had was that United fans are expecting a "weakened" team. No Zlaton/Rashford and possibly no Martial so i looked towards FGS market, Rooney starting?
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/europa-league/man-utd-v-fenerbahce/first-goalscorer
Henrikh Mkhitaryan caught my eye, rumours are hes starting tonight and I think if the teams get released and we are weakened and Henrikh starts i think he should be closer to 5/1 than the 7/1 offered. 15/2 in some place. He really has not shown his full potential yet but i seriously think he will be a class act in a United shirt.
Thoughts on FGS bets, should you wait for Team News or dive in now?
If hes not starting there is a good possibility that the bet will be VOID anyway.

AND fenerbache recently beat feyenoord who themselves recently beat man utd
therefore i reccomend £500 on fenerbache
