I'm a bit of a fanboy having picked up bundles over the last half dozen years backing him at the Masters, but Fred Couples top senior getting 9/2 and paying 3 places each way will be getting a chunk of my cash this week.

Stricker is the fave, presumably because he's 10 years younger rather than having much comparative form in the event. Both Langer and Couples are smashing up the seniors tour as usual so would rather have either of them to take Stricker on.

Bumped for Tighty.

why Couples over Langer, out of interest?

https://www.oddschecker.com/golf/the-masters/2017-masters/top-senior

both are 4/1 i can get 4/1 langer not 4/1 couples.unless someone wants to help. £25 say

I've got 40 quid of Fred's money on PP so I can put 25 on couples, just give me the nod...

and let me know Ew or win?

thank you,win only

Price gone with the Irish so you're on for £25 on the nose Couples Top Senior at 4/1 with Laddies.

Single
Top Senior US Masters
Fred Couples
Top Senior
Odds: 4/1
1 line at £25.00
Total stake for this bet: £25.00
Potential return: £125.00

Still have £15 Fred money...

Langer is playing regularly and what is wrong with the place?  2 players who have no hope at all and another 3 who are big prices.

Meh, 4/1 fifth first 3 gone on Langer.

Forget about this.  Think the place price just isn't far out.

Masters – Top  Continental Euro

Best prices on Oddschecker

John Rahm 7/2
Henrik Stenson 9/2
Sergio Garcia  5/1
Thomas Pieters 10/1
Alex Noren 16/1
Martin Kaymer 20/1
Soren Kjedson 16/1
Caberro Bello 14/1
Molinari 20/1
Weisberger 18/1
Langer 40/1
Olazabal 150/1

Several firms paying 3 places ¼ odds.

On the face of it this isn’t a great EW betting heat with 12 runners and seemingly very open contest  however I think we can cut the field down significantly.

We can safely rule out Olazabal, and Langer although super fit for his age will be happy if he makes the cut.  Everyone knows about Kaymers in ability to be competitive at Augusta, and despite Kjelsen playing extremely well last year on balance someone with his lack of length should struggle and I wouldn’t bet on him repeating last year’s effort.  For similar reasons Molinari can be opposed.

So we’re now down to credible 7 runners  and EW betting is more attractive.

Maybe slightly more contentious but three of the remaining players (Pieters, Noren, Rahm) although highly talented are all debutants – They are less likely be effective at their first try at the course even if Rahm is a superstar in the making  I am happy to oppose him and the other 2 for this reason.

So we have Stenson, Garcia, Caberro Bello and Weisberger remaining

Stenson is the class act but is not  in great form coming in with 2 MC’s – His Masters record is not great either never having a Top 10.  Happy to oppose.

The 2 I want to back are Garcia and Weisberger.

Not much to say about Garcia that everyone doesn’t know – He’s just very solid round here and although probably not up to winning outright he can definitely hit the top 10 which should be enough to win this market.  He’s in great form having already won this season (Dubai) and was a solid 12th in the WGC 2 starts ago.  He’s laid himself out for this by the looks of it with a light schedule and I can’t not see him coming out of the top 3 here - would be odds odd on to place In my view. Very solid.

At the prices I also quite like Weisberger.  He has only played twice here, coming 22nd on his debut and then followed up with a solid 34th last year. He hits it a long way which will always be an advantage round here and comes into the week in good form having 2 top 5’s on Euro tour early in the year and then more recently 17th in the match play and 23rd last week in Houston.  Sporting chance.

Recommend:
50ew Garcia @ 5/1
20ew Weisberger @ 18/1
(Both 3 places ¼ odds)

If you like these, I can help with the Weisberger bet with 364, but have had to get help myself with Garcia so can’t do anything there – (PP, BV and BFSB are 5/1 ¼)

I can't do BFSB, but can do BMU for Fred.

BFSB gone 4/1, so have done £40 e/w @ 9/2 - Returns £305

Couldn't do 50 e/w as there wasn't enough cash in the a/c.

The Lions went to war with the Sharks at Ellis Park yesterday. Awesome game and the three minute round up doesn't do it justice.

Now 5-1 after six rounds.

I'm kind of hoping no one followed me in on the Golf? I saw an interview with Brittany Lincicome where she said that her neck was fine. That evening I saw the full interview where she said that her neck was fine at the moment even though she couldn't turn to the left and her caddie was lining everything up for her. Obviously had I seen the full answer first time round I wouldn't have bet her and certainly wouldn't have recomended her. It goes without saying she missed the cut.

Ariya Jutanugarn is five shots off going into the last round. She hasn't had the best of the weather but if anyone can shoot low then she's the one. Mixed feelings though as my favourite, Lexi Thompson, leads by two. Would be typical for her to win the week I don't have money on her. Bitch.

Haven't watched the third round yet but there was an hole in one again, this time by an amateur, Eun Jeong Seong, in the first round. I've seen a video of it but can't find a link on you tube.

Later.

I followed you in on the Ladies Golf, but no regrets here, it's golf, it's high variance, & if you keep putting tips up I'm sure we'll get there.

You bokked poor Lexi an absolute treat, she went to extreme lengths not to disappoint you......

Here's a video of the infraction by Lexi;

She'd have probably ironed him out if he tried.

Dwayne Johnson AKA "The Rock" called out Vin Diesel on Twitter back in August for being an "unprofessional candy ass". This was clearly all just promo for the latest iteration of the Fast and Furious franchise.

This became even clearer once the trailer for the new Fate of The Furious film came out and Vin Diesel has gone full on bad guy.

Wrestlemania is 2 weeks before the opening of Fate of The Furious. More chatter this week about The Rock working a gimmicky segment with Vin Diesel.

http://en.yibada.com/articles/180430/20161222/wwe-rumors-possible-plans-for-the-rock-at-wrestlemania-33-revealed.htm

The Rock will certainly be there, he has been for the last 5 years and continues to be a huge seller. All of the savvy wrestling commentators that I read/listen to have had this silly fued penciled in to Wrestlemania for a while now.

https://www.betfair.com/sport/special-bets

I would be so surprised if this isn't the way they go. I know it's WWE but let's take the 4/1 if we can. £25?

Did a quick Google and saw no mention. Assume this one was a no go?

Yea, this was no good. As the card got more and more full, it became apparent last week that The Rock was not going to be involved so this bet was dead.

Funnily enough I backed Weisberger in that same market at lunchtime. I did laugh at the 17th in the match play being a plus. That was a first round exit haha!

I just had a quick look at recent form - Didn't watch the match play but thought it was 64 player knockout and 17th wash deep run 😂 just looked it up - ha ha🙈

6/1 1/4 odds 1-2-3-4-5 is slightly better, but assuming that this is a favourite in a golf tournament, the extra place is worth slightly less, so not much in it imo
