Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield in their respective home/away games against top-half teams this season...

wtih a sea of oddschecker red, Wednesday are a big old price for the second leg at 6/4+ arent they? (or not?)

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/sheffield-wednesday-v-huddersfield/winner

I don't analyse these stats, but does this show they should be favourite or they should be shorter than 6/4?  I don't know the answer.  FWIW 29/20 is biggest now.

I love Nakhi Wells always, even if he is playing for the local rivals.  Would love to see him play in the premier league.  Please note this paragraph is useless from a betting point of view.

i thought the stats showed they should be a good favourite and they are

whether 6/4 at home in a local derby play off game where extra time etc is a potential angle (to teams being happy not to press for a win in 90 mins) was value was my question....i suspected it was such was the disparity in the stats.

One game to go for Bournemouth....Leicester away on Sunday.

One last final push for a possible fantastic top 10 finish, and then all done and the summer is yours you might think.

However Bournemouth are on the beach already it seems...and its not Bournemouth's sandy beach!

Instagram/twitter shows players are in Dubai, Dublin, Norway, Spain etc. Rumour is they aren't back in training until Friday.

Why can't they wait until next week?....presume Howe thinks it will do them good/desperate for a rest/trying out "a few days away before a game" ploy.

Do we think on balance this must favour Leicester?

Anyway it will be interesting to see their performance on Sunday.

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/leicester-v-bournemouth/winner

Leicester are odds on

game on thursday and down to the bare bones with both centre halfs and both central midfielders out already

unlikely to be on the beach from a motivational viewpoint but price looks too short to me to be piling in

Quite an interesting puzzle to solve tonight at Southampton, where Manchester United are the visitors.

Mr Mourinho has been making wholesale changes, as he has clearly prioritised the Europa League thing as his CL route. Against an admittedly top class Spurs on Sunday, Man U were absolutely dire, & they were pretty awful against Arsenal in their previous league game.

Tonight it is roughly;

13/8 Southampton

7/4 Man U

23/10 the draw.

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/southampton-v-man-utd/winner

Juicy prices, if only we knew which was the one to go for.

any thoughts?

i think i like few goals and maybe the draw. just a layman's opinion though,n o science behind it

mourinho has had the team thinking about the europa cup final for weeks, and he has been chuntering about the schedule to end the league season....only 2 points in their last four league games

Can see where they're coming from. But if you were stupid enough to bet on that ridiculous yet predictable rumour then it's your own fault. Surely everyone knows that it's 99% bullplop this time of year

Any time a bookmaker puts up a special.  It is a special for them not for the punter.  It is always a one way special as well.  Never seen slybet ever offer a two way market on these 'lolspecials'.  365 offer two way prices on their specials way more than any other firms (you still can't get on but at least they offer the impression the price is 'straight' and they are happy to offer both sides.  Anyone can offer 2/1 about a 20/1 shot when you don't have to offer 1/3 the other way.  If you are happy to lay both sides to 107% fair play to you as a bookmaker on a novelty market.

As much as I hate both SKY the broadcaster and SKY the bookmaker, the idea they'd risk their reputation (and license potentially) over a couple of hundred quid in bets on a market like this is absolutely ridiculous.

They shouldn't offer the markets though.

I totally agree with that.  I think it is a comedy article implying such things.  There is no way there is a link between the two companies for this reason.
