Incred scenes. 50-1 into 6-1 and 200-1 into 20-1. Gogogo Argoil.

Blimey ....even league 1 clubs pop off to Marbella for a few days "warm weather training".

Whats wrong with catching the ferry, running up and down a wind swept Cornwall beach, followed by fish and chips.......

Funny old game.

Ten wins in 14 is pretty amazing, although they must have run really bad to ever be near the bottom in the first place.

They came to our place early in the season and we were ridic lucky to beat them 2-1. Things balance out in the long run though.

Big game today. Three points against Bradford would do nicely before the Marbs jaunt ta very much.

Elsewhere, if anyone is interested in doing some overnight horsey bets, send me a PM.

Thought:

You have 2 days to place 350 bets @ £20 or more. Odds of 1.5 min.

If you do you win £3k cash, do you attempt it?

If so how? Back and lay non stop with Bfair?
Just back min odds and ride variance, have to be unlucky to lose more than £3k doing £7k of bets @ 1.5?

Is this to meet minimum turnover requirements in order to release funds?

I'd say back a load of favourites in random footy matches all over the world and let them ride. You shouldn't be far away from recouping.

Nick Pope at 10/1 to be in the England WC squad worth a tickle?

Southgate brave enough to leave Hart at home?

Not a chance, I'd be surprised if he's brave enough to not start him.

English keepers currently starting in the Prem:

Pickford
Butland
Pope
McCarthy
Foster

English keepers not currently starting in the Prem:

Heaton
Hart
Green
Elliot
Darlow
Forster

Pickford and Butland - 100% locks barring injury. Between Hart, Pope & Heaton for the final spot? Genuinely don't see how he can take Hart and retain any creditability given he said he wouldn't pick players who weren't playing for their club side (when asked about Wilshere earlier this year).

Butland to start for me.

wow that looked a really strong position 6 months ago but not so much anymore.

Butland makes great saves but too many silly errors (and he was awful when he came on loan at Leeds 3 years ago which I can never help but remember), Pickford not exactly setting the world alight and loads of people been questioning him recently. I liked Fraser Forster but hes lost his place now and Heatons been fit for some time but can't win his place back. And Joe Hart can't even get a game at West Ham!

Looks up for grabs still.

Not often you see something in PL betting that makes you double take, but i saw one

I have had the misfortune to see Stoke City live twice this season. Once under Hughes, once under Lambert

On the latter occasion they played notably deeper defensively, and narrower with a lad called Kadou patrolling the area in front of the back four alongside Cameron who is a full back. In so far as i can tell, three of the back four are new-ish as well. No more playing wingers at left back as Hughes did either.

so the formation was 4-3-2-1, with Joe Allen ostensibly linking defence to attack but in practice spending a lot of time sitting in front of his right back

On the prior occasion they left more space in behind, and played more open. Under Hughes they had the worst defensive record in the division

Under Lambert goals conceded are 0,0,2,1,1

So this weekend they travel to Southampton, a team that has 5 wins all season and has 12 draws. They have scored 16 goals in 15 home games

goals per home game in order 0 3 (west ham under bilic)  0 0 2 1 0 4 (everton pre allardyce) 1 1 1 1 1 1 0

The teams are seperated by a point in the congested bottom six and Lambert, inheriting (Shaqiri aside) a prosaic team appears to have gone the "make sure we don't lose" approach first and foremost

Southampton are naturally cagey, tactically. A Stoke win here would be terrible for them.

Both sides have to set out not to lose.

So in a game like this we would normally expect to see 9/4 the draw, maybe up to 12/5 say. For comparison Burnley-Everton this weekend is 9/4

Yet we can get 11/4 the draw in the market today

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/southampton-v-stoke/winner

it has to be at least half a point too high, and the 11/4 doesn't reflect the changes Lambert has made to shore things up (which may or may not keep them up, without many goals in the side)

for the more adventurous 0-0 and 1-1 have to be considered at nearly 10/1 and 13/2 respectively

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/southampton-v-stoke/correct-score

Recommendations

The draw at 11/4 Betfred

0-0 or NGS 10/1 Hills

1-1 13/2 Hills

Great stuff.

Love these spots.

Win or lose, as long as the logic is this sound, it doesn't matter if you collect or not.
