I had a small bet on mir as marathon price was out of line but no idea really. Clearly he is on the juice and seems in shape but he hasn't fought for two years. Really depends on who has the most pride. Both are bring paid well but who will really push themselves?

Not sure what Fedor has been doing for the last couple could be considered fighting, either.

6-1 was the price that sprung in to my mind for Burnley too.

If Huddersfield scrape through this time, they'll take a chunk out next season. Probably around evens.

Yeah just looked at my Racing Post footie pull out for last pre season and amazed to see Southampton at 25/1. Well amazed in hindsight I guess as I didn't think the 7/1 Stoke was a bet either as they had finished comfortable mid table for about 5 years.
Leicester were 16/1 and Southampton 25/1, All the other 11 were 10/1 or less. I guess the Stoke example just shows how little there is between 6th and the rest (if you have a bad transfer window) and any one of rest can go down.
WBA were 6/1, Southampton 25/1 and Stoke 7/1 for reference. WH were 10/1 and I'd expect Burnley to be more at that figure or slightly higher but we'll see. A lot probably depends on what happens in the transfer window. I expect Burnley will spend so I guess their price should be higher than 6/1.
Maybe Leicester might be the bet to go down? Tighty will love that for a season long sweat Smiley

Scunny v Plymouth Tuesday. Mahoosive game!

Could not get any closer, what a time for a stutter. Yesterday was pretty big as well. Finishing off with two away games.

It's the Azerbaijan GP this weekend. Disappointed to see a lack of decent prices in the midfield, but there is value to be had at the front of the grid.

Pole Position: Sebastian Vettel @ 14/5 with BetStars. Based on what I have seen so far this weekend, I'm struggling to picture anyone other than the Ferrari's at the front. 14/5 is an excellent price here, suggest £50.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/azerbaijan-gp/pole-position

Race Winner: Daniel Ricciardo
@ 11/2 with various (I got boosted to 6/1 will Hills for some reason). Red Bull may struggle in qualifying, but their long run pace today was very strong. That, in combination with the crazy racing we get on this circuit, as well as the 80 kph winds expected on Sunday, makes 11/2 a very good spot. Suggest £20. EW is an option, but I'm going for the win personally.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/azerbaijan-gp/winner

Podium Finish: Kimi Raikkonen @ 2/1 with William Hill and Bet Stars. Thin value here, but value nonetheless. Purely because the Ferrari is the fastest car on the grid right now. Suggest £10.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/azerbaijan-gp/top-3-finish

Also, one for the season.

Championship Winner: Daniel Ricciardo @ 25/1+ with various. Red Bull are getting stronger compared to their rivals, and I don't think we'll see prices this high again for a while. It could be argued that this is a bad spot because the Renault "Tag Heuer" engine will have reliability issues later in the season .. but that's certainly not guaranteed. I like this price, it should be a good sweat. Suggest £20.

I have a question if that is OK for the experts on this race. Why is Vettel 2.34 on Exchanges for this race?

Surely he should be closer to evens than that? He does have the fastest car, I know Mercedes can split their strategy but this still looks quite big to me. Wonder if I am missing something. Is the thinking Vettel will struggle to stay ahead after a safety car due to Mercedes faster straight line speed or something like that?

Just looks to me that Vettel really should be winning if he gets a clean race?

Could not get any closer, what a time for a stutter. Yesterday was pretty big as well. Finishing off with two away games.

It's still in their own hands but they've run amazingly well tbh. A late goal at home to beat the Poshies and another late pen at home yesterday to beat Rotherham. Their crowd helps them for sure in home matches. The ref for the Posh match completely crumbled.

Gillingham away is the perfect final game. Scunny have a tougher one at home v Bradford.

So a draw on Tuesday would leave a bit of hope but it's a must win really.

I think if anyone is pricing Burnley up at 8/1+ next season for relegation then that would be a must bet, depending on what happens in the summer of course. Despite the extra £££ they could pocket from Europa League, I don't see them splashing too much cash around.

There really is very little between being the 'best of the rest' by coming 7th, and fighting relegation. Just remains to be seen how the bookies view it when the odds come out....

I don't agree.   Seems fairly clear that Burnley have been underated by the bookies all season.  Firstly because they are Burnley, and secondly because of the xG stat.  I'd be surprised if the bookies switch the other way for next season.   xG isn't the only thing in the models and it seems that people put too much emphasis on it now it is everywhere.

I heard a phone-in a few weeks ago just after Sam Allardyce had said something along the lines of a point was a good result vs Burnley, and realistically it was for a team that looked in serious relegation danger a couple of months previously.   There was a stream of Everton fans screaming he should go for his lack of ambition, as it was just Burnley ffs.   As long as that is a widely held view, and it seems that way from where I sit, it is hard to see Burnley going off too big for relegation.

As you say, we can wait on the prices, but will be surprised if I'd rather be a backer than a layer.

It's hard to say because it looks like Red Bull have the quickest car in race trim. The average price on Sebastian seems to be 11/10, which is a price I would agree with. There are bookies offering a little better, but given that this circuit usually throws up bonkers races, and given the variability of the wind at the moment, I'm not seeing any value.
