Preakness tonight

No point me telling anyone Justify will probably win and Good Magic will probably run second, however a race with such a good shape worth chancing a different form line.

If you are nitpicking Justify had a small setback after the Durbee (probably be hard not to running that fast) and would not run here if thought to be major, and Chad Brown the trainer of Good Magic very rarely runs any of his horses quickly after a recent run (tbf here the horse has very few other options after this for ages).

Not having been thrashed  in the Durbee must be a small plus here and TENFOLD 50S 365 was not, ran ok in the Lousianna Derby and that race looks stronger now than it did then, massive stretch to win or even get second but I prefer a fresh face from the also rans.

suggest £10 each way 50s 365 3 places would not take shorter than 33s tbh

if anyone can do B365 let us know, only place at 50-1

That's on.

Strange stat/circumstance I heard about today.

When Tikay's favourite snooker player, John Higgins loses a World Championships final Celtic win a treble. That's happened 3 times now, and, with the way the football is going, I think it might be a good bet to back him to lose next year's final as well....

Saw him today going to the game, think the treble is fine consolation if the grin he had today is anything to go by.

Tennis. Recommend a cheeky tenner each way on Natalia Vikhlyantseva at 50/1 to win WTA Strasbourg. Way too big from the bald one here. She is a talented player who knows her way around clay. These events the week before a Grand Slam often have surprise winners as the top players might be using it as a tune up for Roland Garros rather than putting in maximum effort and showing up tired in Paris next week.

Also two bets with the Irish. Johnson 40/1 for Geneva and Delbonis 66/1 for Lyon are bets.

Johnson is no slouch on clay with a title on clay this year in Houston. Didn't look too bad at all this week in Rome and simply too long here.

Delbonis a clay specialist and in the opposite half of the draw to big favourite Thiem who may suffer from the motivation issues mentioned in the previous post. only 1/3 odds for each way in Lyon so bet on the nose if that offends you, but still feel you gotta bet it ew because the value comes from Thiem being 5/4 in the other half. Delbonis very strong on the clay tournaments at challenger level. This is the kind of ATP tournament where he can go deep and has done before. they say South American clay courter struggle in European tournaments but he has an ATP title in Marrakech (which is almost in Europe!) and a bunch of European Challenger titles (the next level down from this tournament)

Cheers chaps

Annoyance here as it was so bleeding hard to play forecasts tricasts into pimlico or even local prices and I had the three boxed up .

Not as fuming as I would have been if justify had been beaten. Good magic ran a stormer despite being 4th and it looked like a race at Brighton with the sea fret.

Roz Bulmer in BDO Womens World Dart Trophy.

https://www.oddschecker.com/darts/womens-bdo-world-darts-trophy/bdo-womens-world-darts-trophy/winner

The daughter of my cousin , has been playing very well lately, knocked out of the Danish open in the semi by this same opponent ,Deta Hedman (ranked 3 in this, former number one).

Roz's game has come on leaps and bounds this last year and would be no surprise to see her do well.

Recommend a sentimental £10 ew if Fred can get on.

too late for this? it appears so

Delbonis 18/1 best, no pp prices https://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/atp-lyon/winner

no win market up for Geneva at all https://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/atp-geneva

Markets and prices are still there on paddy and BFSB for anyone who wants a bet. I remember someone saying don't link directly to bookmaker markets from this thread so I haven't. Oddschecker seems a bit behind these days sometimes.

nice double landed at 16/1 for anyone who bet this.

UFC Liverpool next Sunday. The main event should be quite special. Britains best chance for a UFC title a the moment Darren Till is fighting. I'd say if he wins this, one more win and he'll have a title shot.

A nice double for UFC Chile tomorrow with 888/unibet. I know Fred can't be with these bookies but maybe someone else might want to get on if they can.

Lee to win by decision - 8 points/ £40. 5/2
First is in a womens fight. Ladies fights go to decisions quite often, mostly because of a lack of power of the fighters relative to male fighters.
Andrea Lee is a big favourite for this fight and I expect her to win. Lee is a good kickboxer, strong in the clinch, but has also had success through wrestling so far in her career. I expect her to dominate the fight and take a decision. Hopefully her opponent Veronica Macedo can hang in there through three rounds. Basically these two firms have the submission victory too short for Lee, so that makes a decision win a bet imo.

Reyes by KO/TKO - 4/1 £30/6 points
Cannonier vs Reyes should be a brawl and it is favoured to finish inside the distance. It is a step up for Reyes and will show if he is the real deal. It should be a great fight and the one I'm looking forward to most on the card. Reyes is 8-0, with 5 via TKO/KO and two by submission and one via decision. Reyes can wrestle but I expect a stoppage to more likely via strikes rather than a submission. Cannonier is strong and can definitely win too and it could be a close fight but once again, these firms have the submission victory too short for Reyes.
