Possibly the biggest fight of all time in UK MMA takes place at the weekend in you guessed it - Uncasville Connecticut.

Paul Daley faces Michael Page in Bellator on Saturday night. Absolutely mystifying that this fight is not in the UK but at least they have a TV deal now and it is going to be on Sky Sports.

In MMA betting I am always looking to bet against the hype train and always look to bet against the guy coming off a spectacular early knockout victory. This seems like a prime spot for it. Page is 9-0. He is flashy and exciting and fun to watch. But his calibre of opponent has been low. Honestly he hasn't fought any names at all and only one guy who ever fought in the UFC from what I can see, and that was only one fight.

His opponent is Paul 'Semtex' Daley (40-16-2) - a veteran fighter from Nottingham with big power. With a career featuring a short stint in the UFC cut short for hitting his opponent after the bell, he has fought all over the world for 15 years, fighting the likes of Tyron Woodley, Nick Diaz, Rory MacDonald and Jorge Masvidal. Even his fights in the current organisation have been against a higher class of opponent.

I understand that Page is the favourite. The odds aren't on oddechecker yet, but they are on WH, Sky and BFSB. I see Daley 12/5 on Betfair but I believe anything over 2/1 for Daley  has to be a good bet. Page is the bigger man, faster and slicker but has never fought someone like Paul Daley before and someone who can punch like Paul Daley before.  I'm on the Daley train on Saturday night.

Really tight fight. I thought that Daley fought very smart and made it into an ugly grappling match to negate Page's striking. Key moment in the fifth where Daley when from controlling the ground position to giving up his back and almost getting choked out. That's what tipped the judges and he lost a 48-47 decision. Still like the bet and gutted for Daley but he couldn't quite get it done.

Level of wrestling from both men was very poor though and I will look to bet against Page and his padded unbeaten record in the next round of the tournament

You were unlucky, for sure.

He gave the first round away, and would have won 3 of the last 4 had he not ballsed up the 5th.

Lima will beat the brakes off him, I think.

Why not at least throw a couple of punches or kicks or something in the first round to try and steal it? If he was going to turn it into a grindy decision fight then giving a round away seems like madness. Unless he made that decision after the first round when he realised he couldn't win a striking battle. Poor fight but strangely compelling. Both Bellator main events didn't work out this weekend. They have a way to go before they steal the UFC crown!

Indeed, was just a complete waste, and not sure what that was all about. Just a complete 180 from what everyone expected, and was quite interesting to watch. Definitely exposess Page, as you say.

Morning Mr T.

I think there is a tennis bet to be had at the Rio tournament. The clay season has just begun so there is minimal current form to go on. For that reason the favourite, Thiem, looks too short. We then have a cluster of players like Delbonnis, Cuevas, and Fognini who could win this if things go their way. However, the player I have backed is a young Spaniard called Munar. He is a clay specialist, is in the weaker half of the draw and is 20-1. The price is available with nearly all the big sites.

Suggest £10 e/w Jaume Munar with bet fred or hills.

If Man U hadn't been beaten in Europe last week, what price would they be vs Chelsea tonite?

Chelsea are almost as bad as Arsenal at the moment, and unless the wheels have suddenly fallen of the Ole wagon, 3-1ish looks pretty big to me.

Havnt Chelsea only lost 1 home game since 1st April 2018. Almost a whole year and only 1 loss (Leics over xmas).

Both recent big losses have been away, their home record is incredible.
