Thanks for the praise chaps
Same circuit, same scenario, different race. Styrian GP time this weekend.
Unfortunately, there's not as much value as I had expected out there, but here are my suggestions.
Practice One Winner - Lewis Hamilton
@ 6/4 &
Valtteri Bottas
@ 3/1 - Mercedes were 1-2 in all three practice sessions last weekend, and the closest anyone else got to P1 was Max Verstappen who was 0.283s behind in FP3, so I don't really understand why these prices are both so high. The chance of precipitation is under 10% so minimal risk there. I'm intending to bet both with 25 points each.
https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/styrian-grand-prix/practice-1-winning-driver
Fastest Qualifier - Valtteri Bottas
@ 2/1 - it's pretty clear to almost everyone that Lewis is the quicker driver, and Valtteri's best chance to beat Lewis is over one lap rather than over a race distance. I'm surprised to see this priced as high as 2/1 given that he managed it last weekend. 10 points.
https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/styrian-grand-prix/fastest-qualifier
Race Winner - Lewis Hamilton
@ EVS - I'm happy to take Lewis at EVS given the advantage Mercedes have got this year. 20 points.

I am very frustrated that this one didn't come in. I still maintain those prices were stupid, and the bookies have been ridiculously lucky there. Sorry guys.

- Mercedes did not win practice one, bookies got extremely lucky IMO.
- Hamilton got pole ahead of Bottas with a superb lap.
- Hamilton did win the race, quite comfortably.
Small loss this weekend.

How does your pre season analysis look compared to what we've seen over the last couple weekends? Ferrari definitely look very bad indeed

Almost perfectly aligned actually.
Despite today's result, I feel like this should be a very successful season for me. Especially with the results we've seen so far, a few teams have yet to achieve their full potential which should present us with some value as the season progresses.

Gotta love Bayo.
Apologies for the
but I was all over Wycombe in the play-offs. Partly as emotional cover after they ridiculously took Poshies' place, but also because spirit is so often the deciding factor.
I listened to a podcast with Craig Mackail-Smith a few weeks ago and he said the only time he'd known a squad anything like as together as the Holy Trinity Posh team he was part of was the current Wycombe bunch. Boy did it show last night.
I'd like some 4-6 for relegation next season though.

I have been looking through the F1 markets all week ahead of the Hungarian GP this weekend, but contrary to my expectations everything seems well priced.
The only place I feel like we have an edge is the following:
Practice One Winner - Sergio Perez @ 14/1
. This race is critical in determining how the rest of the season will play out. Racing Point are quick, but they've yet to fulfill their potential and I suspect they may be quicker than Red Bull right now. Having said that, Red Bull should also be much closer to Mercedes this weekend (without ever really challenging them) on the downforce dependant Hungaroring - so the battle between those two should be close. Anyhow, the possibility of Mercedes and Red Bull sandbagging in first practice, coupled with this bet being offered on EW top three terms, makes this price appealing. Suggest 5 points EW (1-3 1/5).

I will continue to review the markets as the weekend plays out and let you know if I spot anything else.

Perez finished 3rd in FP1, so that'll be settled at 14/5.
