Why is the balance sheet anything to do with the manager?
At Arsenal, plenty.
Arsene is,
de facto
, a Board Member.
It's extremely rare - almost unheard of - for Managers to be part of the financial remit. Hence the amazing stability at Arsenal.
Anyway, I've been AWOL from blonde for 9 days due to a heap of probs elsewhere, & I was trying to ease back in today, & I've wasted hours toing & froing on Arsenal this morning. Been fun, enjoyed it - you debate well Mr Bedi - but I'd best push on, Team Moan - elsewhere - are in need of attention. Sky Poker have "pop ups" which are THE MOST ANNOYING THING EVER. They last for 8 seconds.........

This thread is always the same. You could replace all the posters on it with bots.
I can't believe with our huge fanbase, big stadium with high ticket prices and massive cash reserves Arsene refuses to spend the money to win the league! He must go!
True fans should support Arsenal! He's delivered consistent performances over years! If we'd spent lots of money like x current disaster club we'd be in trouble.
Forget the football, just look at the balance sheet!
and so on for year after year.
Point of order;
I don't use exclamation marks, & neither does Karabiner. Not even sure Adzy does.
PS - You seen the Balance Sheets at Bolton, Leeds United, Portsmouth,
et al
? Bet they wished they'd been well managed.
You seen the balance sheets at Manchester United. Bet they wished they'd nittied it up and won 2 FA cups in 10 years.

The essential difference between Arsenal and the two mancs/chavski.
Arsene and Arsenal are playing on their own dime and the other three are staked.

LOL. Like it.
The irony is that its the old fellas here that are happy to let AW stay and keep getting 4th.
I for one would like to see another title before I slip off this mortal. You would expect even less patience from the "Elder fans".

He didn't manage to last eight seconds though.

Ha, they were not "cold calls", they were pop ups in the little (like really really tiny) chat box at the bottom corner of the tables. Most annoying thing ever apparently. What toasty lives some must lead.
Anyway, one good thing from this morning is that blonde has mustered more posts before Noon today than the whole of yesterday, & more than twice as many as Monday in total.
It's good to talk.

As an outsider, it's hard to not respect, maybe even admire, the way the club is run, and the job Wenger has done.
If I was a fan, I'd be pulling my hair out at the lack of investment whilst all those around them improve their squads on an annual basis. The lack of splashing the cash might have been 'ok' when the Sky 4 (Gooners, Chelsea, united, Liverpool) basically had the top 4 spots sewn up by September, but its a much more competitive league these days. When teams like Stoke are splurging £18m on a midfielder who's played just 7 games for Porto this season, then shit has got real.
I also believe, and feel free to shoot me down, that as soon as AW retires/is moved on, Arsenal will regularly change their manager. Wenger and Fergie were the exceptions. Every top team in world football keeps things fresh by making significant changes every 3-5 years. The days of a manager being in charge of a title challenging, Euro qualifying team for 15+ years are long gone.
Unfortunately I still have an awful feeling you guys might just pip us and Leicester to the title

Arsenal should sign former England defender John Terry, 35, if Chelsea let him go, says former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.

not at all
a controversial suggestion i saw, that's all
sure lots of Arsenal fans would love another quality/leader at centre back. Probably not that one though

Little Mozart was unfortunately unable to fulfil his considerable talent due to his extensive catalogue of injuries but still managed to endear himself to the demanding Arsenal fans despite them, as exemplified by his reception when he returned to the first team all too briefly last week.
And your point with this post was exactly what mr cocky fox?
