After last night's comfortable 3-0 win, Arsenal have now won 8 on the trot.
Been a while since that happened.
Sunday might just be interesting, as they make the short trip south west to Fulham.
Good game and good chance of success in this comp ..even if it will get tougher when MUFC, Liverpool and Spurs join the knockout stages

Great team performance - even Mustafi had a good game!
Mind the gap.

Went to my first game for a couple of years, albeit in the Fulham end with some season ticket friends.
Thats much much better. It was incredibly difficult to stay quiet, but Im sure the smile on my face may have given the game away, but Fulham fans are ok.
Emery seems to be doing a grand job, and its amazing how much more positive the same bunch of guys are playing.
Total vindication for the Wenger Out team.

I'm looking at some xG data.
Arsenal are murdering it at the moment - xG season to date 10.41 and actual goals scored 19. The highest differential in Europe
Comedy xG for the Fulham game. Fulham won by 1.34 to 1.14. Only seen the goals and they were brilliant.

One thing that has been noticeable during our recent winning run is that our first half play has been mostly pretty poor and our second half play mostly excellent.
I wonder if xG reflects that.

Each attempt in the game has a xG value and the total for each side is in the stat above.
You can also look at a timeline of the accumulation of xG over the 90+ minutes. Good for highlighting the flow of a game in xG terms and easy to separate into 1st half/2nd half.

Arsenal running way ahead of 'EV' on a lot of stats this year by all accounts. Pretty similar to Man U did last season. Incredible though that Fulham should have won that game on expected goals!

Arsenal have their game in hand on Monday, at home to Leicester City.
Current price to win the EPL? 33/1.

Last time I looked was a couple of days after the win at fulham. The price was 40/1 then.

Think I may have let out a little cry of joy when Arsenal scored their third goal - what an absolute pearler of a goal that was, one that any team, Man C or Liverpool included, would have been proud of.
A remarkable aspect of this winning run is that they have been all-square or behind at half-time 7 times, & yet gone on to win.
They were dire the first 20 minutes last night, or perhaps Leicester were very good, but they were being completely outplayed, & then suddenly, like flicking a light switch, it reversed.
Leicester were a little unlucky not to get a penalty, but overall, a fair result.
Iwobi was sensational.
