The player count at the rio should be v close.  They have little gadgets that track everyone.  Even more fascinating than spiral escalators and the lamposts of Vegas

PokerNews has these as the leading chip counts at the end of day 1:

1    Lawrence Michael       562,000
2    Alex Gomes       143,300
3    James Dempsey       77,000
4    Andy Frankenberger       76,000

562K!!!

Wow if true, though hard to believe.

Latest count suggests 144 players left.

Off to bed here, knackered, but well pleased to have made day two.

Thanks for the rail guys, much appreciated.

Good work Tony, onward and upward.

Well played so far and good luck Tony.

I didn't really fancy poker yesterday but I would confirm that this is an amazing event. I barely play the game but I definitely felt I was in the top 30% skillwise when I played it in the past. Anyone with half a clue in Hi-Lo should have this on their schedule.

Good luck also to Steve Jelenek, Flushy, Paul Jackson, Jerome and any other Brits I missed.
