PokerNews has these as the leading chip counts at the end of day 1:

1    Lawrence Michael       562,000
2    Alex Gomes       143,300
3    James Dempsey       77,000
4    Andy Frankenberger       76,000

The player count at the rio should be v close.  They have little gadgets that track everyone.  Even more fascinating than spiral escalators and the lamposts of Vegas
