I think he's done the Thorn Sad

Thornton has known for months this week is the beginning of the end for him.  He will have zero motivation imo.  He knows he can't possibly get close to defending these points.

Can back gurney vs Lewis both at 11/10. Tough one to call isn't it?

Yeh. Well, on form I'd say Gurney was a strong favourite, Lewis though, looked good at the matchplay considering he had a back injury, had thick end of 2 months off, didn't look anything handy in the champions league this weekend gone though, tends to be a bit lazy IDK how much he practised or was able to practise in the off-time, had a new kid too which might have distracted him.  The shorter format will help Lewis though with his injury and if he clicks then he'll beat anyone. Smart money at 2.0+ would have to go to Gurney on that one imo.

Bunting 10/3 vs wright should hopefully make for a good handicap, wright been terrible

I'm surprised Wright has never done better at this event given how steady a finisher he is, his game has really slipped down though since the start of the year when he was just running riot, all the messing about with his darts affected his scoring a lot, that seems to be fixed but I think BIG question marks over his nerve/finishing recently. Very interested like you to see the +1.5 sets market for this one as you'd really fancy Bunting for a set at a 2.0+ price

Starts tomorrow, before looking at the draw, wanted to oppose Peter wright.
Suljovic has an amazing draw and an easy route to the final 10/1

Let down spot after last week? Couldn't have handpicked a better draw though. That half is very weak.

YEsh it's really set up for Mensur this one, just depends if he shows up or not...

Ted Evetts is an exciting player, very fast. I think Peter Jaques vs VVDV is the pick of the bets tonight at 2.4+

I'm a huge Demetri fan, think he's legit Prem League contender for a couple of years time.

Nice action, got some stones and very hard working

Peter Jaques vs VVDV 6/4 or +1.5 5/6 looks good to me, PJ been having a brilliant year and beaten almost everyone, VVDV been coming back to form but he's all about the flow and all it takes is a tweak on the back or something to knock him off and he's gone, PJ exactly the kind of guy who'll do a number on VVDV imo, I'd even look at - leg handicaps for PJ if you really wanna gamble.

Micheal Plooy has throw some impressive performances in this year despite not getting that many great results, Keegan Brown shows a lot of promise and scores well in general but too much lack of focus means he often loses games he should win, Plooy outright is good at 6/4, I'd steer clear of the handicap though because I think Plooy could very easily get nailed if KB turns it on.

Dennis Nillson playing Steve Beaton has been ripping it up in the Scandi tour this year, Beaton been on razor form last few months however I think he might just find himself in a game here, might look at +1.5 DN at 6/4 or maybe small on the outright. Wouldn't rush to be involved in this one though

Jerry Hendricks has been looking much improved lately and I think Kyle Anderson has gone somewhat off the boil since his two wins, Hendricks +2.5 @ 11/10 looks very good to me.

Those would be my picks for tonight.
