Special mention to Cheng Ji. First Chinese rider to ride & hopefully complete the TDF, he's the Lanterne Rouge, nearly 5 hours down First off in TT, & his comments after: “In the first part of the course, I felt ok today. But from the second small hill onwards, I felt the pain in my legs. It was heavier and heavier, so I had to slow down, otherwise it could have hurt me and handicapped me in the future. I've had this pain for one week already. It goes from the left side of my left knee to my hip. I've been fighting against the pain for one week. Luckily during the second rest day and after, I've been treated by the doctor and the physiotherapist. I've changed shoes. My body has been taped. And finally, the pain has diminished, but it's still there. During the first rest day, I've made this bet that I'd finish the Tour and we're getting close." All about suffering & finishing the race for so many. Why I love cycling & TDF.

2nd behind Martin at 1st check.
Finishes 2nd. 1.39 behind Martin. Hold please! TVG & Nibali look to be only other riders capable of getting to Tom's time. Valverde looks to be having a mare

Bardet's puncture sees him slip to 6th overall by just 2 seconds. Too cruel.

La Course race ahead of the men in Paris.
Kirsten Wild & Giorgia Bronzini are the two fastest sprinters. Had some interest @ 7/4 win & 8/1 EW. (only on skyhigh bet as far as I can see).
Marianne Vos is of course favourite @ 6/4, the best the world has seen. She'd need to find a way to win solo, & not sure that can happen easily on the Champs Elysees.

Stage 21.
Kittel odds on favourite. Sure that's fine in the early stages, but he looks to have suffered badly in the mountains. It's really a case of guessing if he has recovered well enough. I'm taking the view he's lacking some power & sharpness.
One sprinter for sure who still has power & form I think is Kristoff. Katusha have no sprint train to match Giant or Lotto, but do have Luca Paolini (a noticable last in the TT & likely saving energy for today) to look after Kristoff in the final. 5/1 available, not really value but have had a small wager on the win.
Fun banzai on a Dual Forecast Kristoff / Renshaw @ 50/1. OPQS are sure to be involved & Renshaw has the experience on the Champs Elysees to get up into second.

What a stage that was!
Have there ever been this many big guns all in the same tour before? Incredible finish!
